Just so everyone knows, my above post was a rush job do to the fact I had to get back to work. After re-reading the post it sounds too much like I'm demanding things get done. All my comments were suggestions if someone so desires to help us out a bit. I really hope we get someone who knows GMAX who'll take on cleaning up some of the minor visual issues. I really hate when I rush through my post and things aren't clear either because I didn't word them correctly and/or forgot a word completely by typing too fast.Take care guys... :-shy

"I also would like to see someone work on the Cockpit night>textures... The cabin looks great at night but the cockpit is>blood read. HEY RON (Eaglesoft), would you please give some>Gmax dummies some advice to cure this problem." Unfortunately the tutorial for doing correct lighting wasn't available when I did this model. But it will be incorporated into the new model I'm doing... http://home.earthlink.net/~drowberry/I believe I fixed all of the "visual" errors this time around on this particular model. I don't have any plans on doing a pax version...I'll leave that up to you folks. If possible, could I get a copy of that new .air & .cfg file? Thanks Rick Sasala

Hey Rick good to here from you!!!Sure no problem about sending you the files, I need your email address though. When you say no 'PAX' version, what do you mean???Will your new model contain a VC/cabin, she's looking very nice so far??? :-) leo141 at comcast.net

In case Rick had to run for the day...He originally released two models--pax and military. The source for both was released at freeflightdesign.com.... The link I provided was for the pax source-John

E-mail address remains the same as always: [email protected]"Pax" as in passenger version. This model is a C-20G that is used by the Navy and Marines. Pretty much a G-IV that easily re-configures (cabin) for various missions. This will have the same things that the old model had i.e., VC, cabin etc. But does have some major changes including....complete "clickable" overhead in the VC, re-done VC lighting, VC rain effects etc.etc. Most of the exterior has been re-done so that it's more politically correct (must have looked at a 1,000 photos)! Should be done in about 2 weeks tops (don't quote me on that).......Rick

O.K. Rick I'll just humbly ask a favor from you that we all would greatly appreciate. Could you 'please' update the lighting in the VC on the current PAX model and fill in that space at the rear of the VC under the bathroom door. No one else here is currently able to do this. We'll take care of everything else...I'll be sending you the files right after I finish this post. Believe me many will appreciate this last little update on this wonderful model. We'll do the best we can with your current model, hopefully you'll be able to help us out... :-roll

Not sure what you are asking but you may need to drop this near the bottom of your panel config.....those values control cockpit lighting colors....these are from the CX. Bill leaming did a cockpit lighting tutorial in the AVSIM Aircraft/Panel forum:-) Day=255,255,255Night=30,30,30Luminous=64,64,64

Tried your settings above Ron and what happened was all the interior lights got dimmer (can't have that, the Cabin lighting is perfect as is). What I'm looking for is away to take away that red glow that's in the VC Cockpit at night. I would be perfect if I could get the gauges to light up at night but I know that's pushing it. What would be perfect is to get the same effect in the VC cockpit as what you guys have done with the Citation II/X at night. At least there has to be a way of getting ride of that red light... :-)

Only posted that as a guidline...not to use as a final setup:-) May be that the red cockpit is a leftover from the FS2002 model. Really can't help much beyond that but do recommend this site http://www.freeflightdesign.com/ :-)

Thanks Ron for the link... Now I'm wondering how much GMAX cost... Unless Rick helps us out, one of us is going to have to get/learn GMAX. It would be nice to have a door behind the cockpit. It seems like a trend is emerging where many VC/Cabins don't have cockpit doors (even at Eaglesoft). It would be nice to look back behind you and see a realistic door instead of looking straight back through the cabin...Ron in real Citation x/II's, aren't there doors to the cockpit??? Any reason why you guys left them out of your models???

I can almost answer for Ron on the C-II's...A fascinating site is www.aso.com--you can browse real bizjets of all types for sale on that site--it's even a better resource than airliners.net, IMHO since many jets for sale show off the business office...er cockpit. I consider it a great resource for planning cabin layout or cockpit layout. None of the Citation II's I've seen there have cockpit doors--there'd hardly be room for one in a small C-II cockpit. As for the Citation X, it's really hard to tell from the few for sale at aso that I've seen. The largest pic again makes it look like there's no door... But others make it seem like there is...I imagine an aircraft as large as the G-IV/V must have one...-John
