Freeware flight planner with SIDs and STARs?

Featured Replies

Hi. Is there any flight planner with SIDs and STARs which would be good? I can't find any here or anywhere. I would like if it would be able to review how the route goes. Free vroute hasnt been enough good for me. Is there any good like this? Google and Search here didnt help me to find any good.

Hello

Try SuperFlightplanner if you can find it.

Or buy FSCommander

I like to use FltPlan.com , http://www.fltplan.com/, or RouteFinder, http://rfinder.asalink.net/free/, to develop my enroute flight planning. I then go to AirNav, http://www.airnav.com/, for my SIDS, STARS, approaches and METARS. (AirNav is USA only. You will need another source for international airport info) After determining the weather, I can set up my departures, arrivals and approaches in my previously created flight plan. I then build the FP in PlanG, http://www.tasoftware.co.uk/forum/, and save it to FSX and load it through the FSX Flight Planner.

I know this sounds rather long and involved. All of the programs I mentioned are free. You certainly become very immersed in the whole flight planning process and this method is very similar to what is used daily in real world.
