Folks I am belatedly considering purchasing the MD11 (for FS9) and I wonder whether any MCE user would care to comment as to its success in integrating with this aircraft?

 

Frankly I would prefer these days not to buy the competitor product ... but I do need as much seamless support as possible to come to grips with this amazing aircraft.

Put out a video, search you tube for "pmdg md-11 mce" and see for yourself.

 

 

By competitor do you mean "Its your plane" or FS2crew?

 

If FS2Crew, they only have button control version for MD-11. No voice.

If they did have voice, I would get it and the MD-11 because it's a specialist product and is very good at what it does. Although you do pay more for that once you buy a couple of planes.

 

Will, I'm going to lookup your video, I don't really have time to learn yet another plane, but with the MD-11 but it's always there in the back of my mind as an intriguing mysterious sort of aircraft. It's very unique compared to the Boeings.

 

Did any Australian airline or freight operator ever operate the MD-11? I could never find any that did but I would love to know. What livery do you fly it as?

I join in. MCE loves the MD-11 and works very well. Full FCP control and lots of stuff on the systems and even handling of the system displays. Add the control for ground stuff like AES and GSX and you are as happy as can be.

 

I had the FS2Crew button version running before using MCE. I also had FS2Crew (voice and button) for the 747, but MCE has replaced all of those. So check that trial version if it's your cup of tea and then perhaps just buy it.

Seems MCE is a better proposition than button control FS2Crew.

DanW can't be sure however my recollection is that no Australian carrier used the MD11.
