August 13, 201213 yr What about topics older than that? surely AVSIM aren't auto purging subscriptions older than this after this short amount of time are they? Short? You need to have subscriptions for topics older than two weeks?
August 13, 201213 yr Author Absolutely, what's the point of subscribing to a thread in a support forum if someone then makes a reply asking for help more than two weeks later, I don't get a notification and someone else misses out on relevant discussion. Some of us don't have time to read every post on the forum every day. I also don't like being told that a topic is over 6 months old when doing searches, who cares, it's on topic and still a valid discussion regardless. I'm perplexed that you think 2 weeks is enough. Cheers, Andy.
August 14, 201213 yr I'm perplexed that you think 2 weeks is enough. It is called conservation of resources and trying to husband those that we do have.
August 16, 201213 yr I don't know what forum change you are referring to; but substantive changes occured months ago. When was the last time you checked your messaging preferences in your User Control Panel? I checked them the day I saw your notice, and checked them a few times after, as well as again the day I found this thread and posted.... my email addy is correct, notices are checked, everything looks as it should to me. If you can check my settings, please do. Obviously Im still not getting them or I would have replied here sooner. Jay
August 16, 201213 yr Last post was 2149 my time. Got an e-mail at 2149 with your reply. I checked your settings and noticed a strange setting checked for in-line notification for replies. I unchecked it to see what difference that makes, if any. Please let me know if this works now. August 18, 201213 yr John you nailed it! For whatever reason gmail decided Avsim was spam. Since I have that email address forwarded to my main email, I never actually check gmail. I started recieving Avsim replies on Aug 7th, so it started working back then, I was just to stupid to know it LOL Thanks for the help folks! Jay
