August 18, 201213 yr Author PMDG contacted me and asked me to carry out a number of things but nothing worked. So they asked me to reformat drive D: and to do a new install of Windows 7 on drive C. Having done that they asked permissed to take remote control of my PC and proceeded to install all of the Windows Updates, but in a particular order, not in the order that you would normally obtain them from Microsoft. They then installed FSX followed by Acceleration running the sim in between each part and finally installed the PMDG 737 NGX 800-900 base package along with the SP 1C. Having done so the Regisrtration Key box appeared, (something I had never seen before) entered the key and started FSX, loaded the 800 winglet version and it ran perfectly. So PMDG believe that Windows 7 was corrupted in some way when all the updates were applied and could determin correctly where the PMDG package was installed. So that brings the issue to a close.
August 18, 201213 yr Anyone else amazed at the detailed and involved level of support offered to the OP? What other company are you familiar with, that offers hours and hours (and hundreds of Dollars worth) of Tech Support, when you purchase a $70 product? PMDG is unique for so many reasons. Not just for their superlative modeling, textures, authenticity, documentation and flight physics; but also for their dedication to their customer base. BRAVO ZULU PMDG! Best- Carl Avari-Cooper
