ENBSeries test

Featured Replies

Finally decided to play with the ENBSeries.. After trying all the recommended settings out there for FSX I ended up liking 0% of them. They either over did the bloom to insane levels (and bloom is overrated), and or darkened the render to unrealistic levels. Some also having a bit too much red. FSX/Prepar3D's image quality and lighting is fine as is, it's always been the colors that have been lacking and dull. In my opinion it really didn't take a drastic implementation of the ENBSeries setting to get great looking and natural results out of FSX. (Prepar3D in my case).

My settings + a custom Palette texture.

FYI; Google "Shade". So much simpler and far, far better them EMB. Cheap too.

That's for FSX and doesn't work in Prepar3D.

Ahhh.. sorry.

Very Nice! I especially like the second shot.

Do you mind PM'ing me your ENB settings?

????????? What's ENB?

Looking at your GIF link the ENB stuff looks a gnat's red to me?

....oh just noticed your NOO JOISEY based so I should explain. B) "A Gnats" is a "Brit Engineer/Technicians" definition of a very small measurement. It's based on the "internationally recognised" dimension of the male Gnat's genetailia width

BTW what on earth will you guys do when all that "playstation/Xbox" stuff fails? Get a paper chart and some time on REAL instruments. It's a CESSNA (The Best) ...not a flippin Airbus!!!!!!!!!

My old CFI would have refused to fly in it  .

PS nice shots though...

But they do two different things, thats why some people use both Shade and ENB together.

ENB can look great provided you start with a properly calibrated monitor, read the ENB authors website to get a good understanding of what all the settings do, then tweak the settings to your own liking. The possibilities are endless for both day and night settings. The only thing that is tricky is when you start using custom palettes since it basically makes some of the settings in ENB useless since it reads from the palette.
