Help creating a realistic erj sound.

Featured Replies

Does anyone know how to create a sound set for the embraer erj 135-145 series that is 100% realistic just like in real videos? Thank you

I made an A320 soundset (of my own) by recording sounds from youtube videos of the actual aircraft. I will warn you, though it can take quite a while to produce just the right sound. A lot of editing was needed to filter out unneeded noises (voices, wind, etc). Also, getting the right mix in the sound.cfg can be tricky. I suggest using the FSX sound.cfg for the CRJ as a default, and then changing the file names to whatever sounds you have.

real videos

?? Not sure what that means, maybe they are REAL aircraft and thats as real as it gets. Sound people get recordings from the actual aircraft, cockpit, startup, shut down exterior etc.You could book an ERJ flight, take a tape recorder and ask to sit in the cockpit and on the wing during the flight. NO Please dont do that! :)

I want to create a sound pack that is recorded from actual erj videos.

Good luck to you!

I feel just like you,on this subject. There are no real soundings files for this aircraft. The fact is I have bought many addons with sound and what I find is that many sound sets from certain developers are the same in regards to certain sounds like wind etc.

When you watch real flight vids it sounds real .When we fly some aircraft in the sim it sounds fake IMHO.

What program would you use to record from aircrafts/videos?

Try Sony Vegas Pro 11.0 trial. It doesn't have an expiration/ time limit, and I think it supports recording audio. You should be able to export it in the format of your choice from there.

I'm not that good with sony vegas, so someone who is an expert in sound sets for fsx should create realistic erj recordings including engines, apu, gear, flaps, etc, and program reverser sounds to act like an erj. Also, the person should do realistic exterior sounds. Please respond when you have an answer.

Or you can create by yourself to do it by making wav sound and replace the new sounds with the old

I do not have any recording devices. Someone should do an erj soundset for me.

Thank you.

Someone should give me a million bucks too!

Oh, I can do one for you. You just have to pay me the cost of renting the ERJ (not cheap). And pay me for my time as well (even less cheap). I'd have to get a quote on the ERJ but for comparison one can rent an L39 (dual seat fighter trainer with pilot) for about $3,000.

I can wait patiently for you to finish the sound set, but I cannot pay any money for renting an erj, I'm not a good pilot either. Also, I do not have enough money. When you're finished, just post the link to the soundset.

Thank you
