August 30, 201213 yr I'm hoping there won't be any issues with the lighting. There have been a couple of reported issues with the Baron lighting and the response was that it couldn't be fixed. I'd hate to see those on this aircraft. Jim Shield Cybersecurity Specialist
August 30, 201213 yr Commercial Member There was one "reported issue". The response was that it couldn't be fixed due to the way it works. Please don't make it out to be more than it was/is. For the 737, I suggest that you wait and see... You may ask this question of someone who has bought it after it comes out. Please contact oisin at milviz dot com for forum registration information. August 30, 201213 yr Looking forward to this one, and this will be the first product I purchase from Milviz. I've gotten tired of the whacky things the "other" -200 does (ie autobrakes are so broken), and the "other, other" one is ugly as sin and won't run on my system without deleting files that features depend on to work (an official workaround, I might add). Good luck, Milviz. Can't wait to have my Mud Hen in Alaska. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules
August 30, 201213 yr Commercial Member You do know that all of our present products are on sale for the next 5 or 6 days?.... at 50% off, you would be... er... uhm.... silly, not to buy at least one (or two or three or all) Please contact oisin at milviz dot com for forum registration information. But I may mosey on over to the store and take you up on that for the C310. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules

August 30, 201213 yr Unfortunately the site is down, for me at least. EDIT: At any rate, I'm going to grab the Baron right now. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules

August 31, 201213 yr Glad I held off buying the "other" one Unlike some other developers of airliners, I wonder will the Milviz 737 support hardware? It could be via either C++ gauges FSUIPC mouse macros, Lua vars/scripts, or a keyboard mapping file. Personally I have Saitek stuff. The Baron works fine with Saitek (SPAD) right out of the box, but this project is a whole new story, and I hope it will be another work of art

August 31, 201213 yr Not making a secret out of my love for the competing 737 but I'm also flying two 737NGs, so keep em coming. Lots of room for both. The NG's fly between cities with improved strips and a fair amount of runway (5,000+ for the 600, 6,000+ for the others). You don't want to take an NG onto a gravel runway. The -200 is for northern strips, including gravel and can fly any combination of cargo and people. With light loads you can do as low as 4000 ft, but you preferably want 5,000 for unpaved or for carrying bigger loads. So if you fly the north at all, you will very definitely want this plane as well as the NG's .

For the 737, I suggest that you wait and see... You may ask this question of someone who has bought it after it comes out. I'm referring to this one: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/383672-milviz-baron-night-to-dawn-panel-lighting/ And the one reported on your site forum regarding the spotlight shining on the ground. Your original response was that it couldn't be fixed and then the service pack reduced the landing light intensity, but the soplight is still there. I'm not really trying to make this out to be anything but constructive feedback. I don't like the landing lights so I'm tell you, nothing wrong with that. They look weird and they continue to shine during rotation and then suddenly disapear once your airborne. It does't look right even if they look great on the ground. If you disagree, thats fine, keep them, it's not a deal breaker for me, but I like to give feedback. Jim Shield Cybersecurity Specialist
August 31, 201213 yr Moderator I would point out that both of those are separate issues, and that they affect only a very few customer's systems. It is not the product; it is the user's system that has a problem in these cases. This should be self-evident since were it the product, everyone would be affected... As for the 3d "Lotus type" landing and taxi lights, these evidently are appreciated by the vast majority of customers, but for the record I will make them a configurable option for any future models for which I'm responsible. That hopefully will satisfy everyone... ^_^ Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
September 1, 201213 yr Hello Folks, maybe a dual Canadian Marconi CMC CMA-900 FMS/GPS for the 732 ? Cheers. September 1, 201213 yr Maybe most important for this type of aircraft that typically (now) operates in the far north - an HF head (non-functional of course) and antenna. I used HF almost exclusively when operating in the Territories with the Beaver or 185. Only problem was of course, I couldn't raise Coppermine some 40 nm away, but I COULD talk to some guy in Siberia... well, I could if I understood Russian or he understood English, that is... . Anyway, this would be a visual thing only, no coding, but it would lend an extra bit of reality to this type of airplane if you think you could fit it in ok.
