September 13, 201213 yr An amazing 737NG cockpit video by HartsfieldSpotting features an overview of systems check. Almost same as PMDG )
September 13, 201213 yr That got posted already. Cool video though! Shame those guys in the states work years in the Regional's just to get in a 737 right seat :LMAO: - Luke Pabari
September 13, 201213 yr Shame those guys in the states work years in the Regional's just to get in a 737 right seat Yup. Work at a crappy regional where it's a decade upgrade to a captains position, then another 5-10 years to make it to the majors  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dana Palmer KJAC
September 13, 201213 yr Yup. Work at a crappy regional where it's a decade upgrade to a captains position, then another 5-10 years to make it to the majors  Haha shame that's the way it is. After OAA I have a feeling I'll get RyanAir, which I hope not in a way. I mean the B738 would be dream, especially for my first TR but it'd put me 27K+ in debt as TR is self funded. But at the end of the day a job is a job, willing to give up a lot for the career! I could only pray BA start their self funded cadet scheme sometime soon but I doubt it. - Luke Pabari
September 13, 201213 yr That's why I'm starting to steer towards the flight service department, you get to fly without accumulating the large debt. I would give the military a shot but I have a slim chance of passing the medical. Alex Jevdic KORD/KHOT/KPWKA<380 love at first flight
September 14, 201213 yr Yah, I've not many good things about RYR. I think it's kind of flaky for airlines to make their pilots pay for their ratings. More and more seem to be going down that path. The aviation industry is pretty tough in the US right now. If I were to go complete my CPL, I would be taking a huge pay cut (earning around only $27K to maybe $30K per annum). I would love to do it, but there's just no way I can take such a large hit. Plus due to some medical issues, it would be a lot of work to get my medical certificate. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dana Palmer KJAC
September 14, 201213 yr What about these?? With new RAAS system (FS2Crew) coming! Air Austral. Robert
September 14, 201213 yr @Dana: Yep, the times are tough, plenty of pilots around, and airlines know it, and are reluctant to pay for the ratings. I guess it is kinda OK though as long as they pay you a solid pay so you can afford a loan to pay for the rating. That is nice about European airlines, even though pay goes lower and lower over the years, it still is a solid pay even for a junior F/O, not like those 20K/year regionals in the US... Wonder how multicrew pilot rating will go into this all. AFAIK only EasyJet is in this stuff ATM, but it might be the way of the future. Take the basic multipilot license and then work your way through singlepilot ladder all the way up to full ATPL alongside flying job... --Peter Fabian

September 17, 201213 yr These videos show how amazingly well PMDG did in capturing the nuances and character that make up the 737NG fleet. Every time I fly the NGX I marvel at their work. Jon Preston
