September 23, 201213 yr Author 8 hour flight on an ATR??? Is that even possible? Congrats on getting to work again! Regards, Ró. It does have ETOPS 180 but it needs the range tanks. It holds *runs to get FCOM* 5510 lbs of fuel. Not sure how much more it requires to make the trip. An ATR from Trois to Hawaii!! That would be a fun one to ferry over. Did you make it to Texas for sim time yet??? Yep, I finished September 9th and now have my ATP and ATR 72/42 PIC type rating. I've been flying the King Air the past few weeks for the last company I worked with. Talks are I might be adding a Learjet type for my corporate flying. That will probably be in a year though so we will see how that goes. Chris Miller
September 23, 201213 yr I would like to have a nice ATR in the sim (to feel a bit like Chris then) just because I saw this video where they are landing like I always do, 'against' the GPWS. To be honest, I didn't even know that they do this in the rw. One has to applaud to the cool prop planes and their abilities. With the now high pressure on low fuel costs, the times for the props seem to be better, huh?

Agreed.....I am a big fan of the turboprops. I like the ATR's and the Dash 8's. Great vid BTW Talks are I might be adding a Learjet type for my corporate flying. That will probably be in a year though so we will see how that goes. That would be awesome. Ferry around a few corporate types. I imagine the Lear to be nimble and quick and unforgiving. Would be a blast to fly Cheers Matthew Kane I'm Dyslexic, what's an error to you is not to me
