September 24, 201213 yr Hello Everyone, Is it possible to cover Europe with photoreal scenery? I know there are various freeware and payware areas of Europe available(UK2000, NL2000, FranceVFR etc) but is it possible to cover the entire continent? Something similar to SimSavvy for the US? Thanks. Regards, Kevin LaMal "Facts Don't Care About Your Feelings" - Shapiro2024

September 25, 201213 yr Commercial Member Yes it's possible but getting high enough quality data and then actually making photoscenery from it would sure take huge amount of time and work. I have no idea about what methods SimSavvy uses to make their photosceneries, I have made only small areas such as cities and islands but making whole continent with same methods would take way too much time.
September 25, 201213 yr Author Sorry, perhaps I should have been more clear on my initial post. What I'm looking for is already existing photoreal scenery for Europe. I know it's possible to make my own and I've even done some but I don't have the time nor the resources to create photo scenery for an entire continent. So, I'm looking for already produced freeware or payware. Is there enough already out there to cover the continent? Thanks. Regards, Kevin LaMal "Facts Don't Care About Your Feelings" - Shapiro2024
September 26, 201213 yr There is Switzerland Professional X, http://www.flightsim...products_id=768 and four volumes of Germany photoreal which can be found at the Aerosoft store. Petraeus
September 27, 201213 yr www.francevfr.com NL2000 project, Aerosoft VFR Germany, Horizon UK & Ireland, Austria Pro...bit of a mixture photo & Landclass, Switzerland Pro, the whole of Spain is also available in Photo, Belgium & Luxembourg. Denmark is also available. A google search will find them all for you Arnie....if it ain't broke, don't fix it...
September 27, 201213 yr Author Thanks for the response, Arnie...Now, do any of these paywares go on sale or can you get bundled versions? It will definitely cost a lot of $$$ to cover Europe buying each individual region from FranceVFR, VFR Germany, etc. FranceVFR looks amazing though!! September 28, 201213 yr Spain is free, so to is NL2000 & Belgium/Luxembourg. The rest alas requires you to dig deep in those pockets. No rush though, build your collection up over time. SIMMarket sell Denmark and Germany. Flightstore sell UK stuff and Aerosoft you know about. Doubt you will get any bulk buy deals though...but hey you can but ask. Be aware the freeware requires an huge amount of time to download, servers are not the fastest on the planet. Well worth the effort though. A good way of spending the coming winter months. Have fun. October 15, 201213 yr Tileproxy? I'm about to try it out. Uses existing map servers (Bing, Yahoo) to get its data, and downloads on demand.
