October 11, 201213 yr Since you have 560 TI GPU, have you run the nvidia inspector tweaks? I've got almost the same system and setup (but not the orbx scenery) and I'm running 30fps pretty regulary. I also set FSX FPS to unlimited and used the inspector to limit the frames at 30fps. Saves from having to run another app. Shaun OrtolanoTronAviation.com
October 11, 201213 yr Since you have 560 TI GPU, have you run the nvidia inspector tweaks? Yes. After I did that, my Frames went DOWN. My graphic quality went UP. My graphics are excellent, before I had bad case of the blurries. Once I get home, ill post a screenshot of my Nvidia settings
October 11, 201213 yr What if you shutoff ORBX, or any other add ons? Does your FPS jump up with anything particular off? Shaun OrtolanoTronAviation.com
October 11, 201213 yr Don has the BEST ADVICE so I suggest you try it and then come back here with the results! A lot of people can then help you finish it up. Dave
October 12, 201213 yr So I redid my FSX.cfg file, with everything that Word Not Allowed said, and I reset and tweaked my Nvidia card settings, and the frames bumped up about 3-5 Fps. I guess the only way to really get good frames is to overclock it to like 8 Ghz lolol
October 12, 201213 yr So I know this has probably been asked 100000000000000000000000000 times, but something I am doing just isn't working. I have a it-2500K OC to 4.2 Ghz, GTX 560 Ti, and 8GB of RAM. And Yet I only get about 21 fps when I load up the PMDG 737NGX with ORBX Jackson hole at night. That's about what I get @ 4.4GHz... depending on weather of course. It is good fps... think of the amount of resource hungry addons you're running... you can't get 60 with the stuff we throw at fsx these days. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

I guess we all get a little FPS hungry now an then?

October 12, 201213 yr [DISPLAY.Device.NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti .0] Mode=1920x1080x16 Summer1, your 'Mode' should be 1920x1080x32 in stead of x16 : only then you will have full colour! For the rest, follow Word Not Allowed's Guide to the letter, and your FSX will be almost perfect. FSX will be 'completely perfect' once we will be able to overclock a processor to 8 Ghz ...... ..... With kind regards, Bart S.
October 12, 201213 yr Is it true that Bufferpools doesn't work if you don't have frames locked? I personally hate locking frames... I can get like 50 fps in the NGX cockpit at cruise altitude, vs like 30 if I lock them...
October 12, 201213 yr FSX is designed for locked frames below 40. It is not a First Person Shooter and cannot be compaired to one. FPS means almost nothing, but blurries and stutters do. I get 45-55 unlocked (default flight) with spikes and stutters. I get smooth flight locked at 30, 23-27 at NYC LGA. Bufferpools wrok all the time. Dave
