October 27, 201213 yr Hi, I am interested in using the Logitech G13 on FSX. I have read various comments in the forums, all positive, yet I can' t still figure out how this device can be so "..can' t do without it.." for FSX as it appears on various posts. I understand it can be a great added value for managing views (which anyway can be well managed via the keyboard), but what about VC panning ? Does it help in "moving around" in VC ? How is the little joystick used ? Thanks Regards AMD Ryzen 7800x3d, Asus ROG Strix RTX4090, Asus x670e-e, G-Skill F5-6000J3038F16GX2-TZ5NR
November 7, 201213 yr Looks to me like it has more buttons than i would know what to do with, although I guess you can use them for other things too like ground services, extra doors to open (Rear doors, right hand doors etc) and possibly lights too.. The little joystick is exactly that from what I've seen, a tiny joystick... Richard... Amateur Pilot and UK Web Hosting Guru 🙂

In short: - chase distance change in FSX is slow, I can make it fast via G13 - ctrl+enter is one key - view management in EZCA is done via the little joystick, as is EZCA activation and edit function (two buttons around the joystick), quite quick when I want to adjust a view quickly - view change in external views for EZCA - various doors on various aircraft, now mapped to all same keys on the G13, dont have to think what to press to open what door - GSX/AES called via one button G13 - parking brake via one button I think that covers it in general. And yes, I think I am using all but one. Though some functions are mapped to all 3 pages same.

I don't think "LINDA" can do it? Do you use FSUIPC to program the G13 or do you use some other method? Thanks and cheers! Robert. R. November 19, 201213 yr Robert, I program the keys simply via the Logitech Gaming Software. It's easy, as I can program virtually anything I want, and then some other functions like repeat, how often and mouse clicks...

November 21, 201213 yr Hi Word Not Allowed, I got a G13 recently and I'm considering trying to use it for something in FSX, only thing I will say is the thing is really designed for left-handed use (and is obviously intended as such, and is great for games or applications when the right hand is on the mouse). In the sim, I think I'd find myself needing a third hand to use it for EZCA views when hand-flying!!! I'm sure I'll come up with a way to put it to good use though.
December 4, 201213 yr Great thread, thisnis what I' mlooking for.... I planned to buy G13 but first I would like t to know something deeply: 1) LINDA doesn't support G13, but is it possibile to assign macros to a specif g13 button? I try to explain better... I fly with NGX and MD11, suppose I want to control HDG, CRS, ALT, SPD via keyboard, suppose for HDG+ I set CTRL+A shortcut and for HDG- CTRL+B shortcut in FMC setup for NGX or PMDG options for MD11, can I assing in G13 a button for CTRL+A and a button for CTRL+B? And so on for others ones? 2) can I control the mini joystick axis via fsuipc? i'd like to assign left and right differential brakes to one axis for a smoothness braking, is it possible? Many thanks in advance Riccardo OS: Windows 10-64 bit, CPU: i7-7700K @4.20 GHz, GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 G1 8GB GDDR5, RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 32GB 3000MHz, MB: MSI Z270
December 4, 201213 yr 1. Yes 2. Don't think so didn't try it but not sure... Some games see it as a controller/POV whereas FS seems to see it as keypresses... Hope that made sense Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
December 4, 201213 yr Many thanks, so is there no way to transform it in a analog joystick? Riccardo OS: Windows 10-64 bit, CPU: i7-7700K @4.20 GHz, GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 G1 8GB GDDR5, RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 32GB 3000MHz, MB: MSI Z270
December 4, 201213 yr Not that I know of in FS. I don't think FS sees it as a "game controller" like the OS and a lot of games do... I will look after this flight though, only 6 hours 31 minutes to touchdown Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
December 5, 201213 yr Hi guys searching on google I find this, hoping I may post this link without break forum rules: http://www.logitechusers.com/general-g13-gameboard-talk/5130-g13-joystick-emulator.html Hope may help, if someone can try it out can then post if it works as analog joy? Riccardo OS: Windows 10-64 bit, CPU: i7-7700K @4.20 GHz, GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 G1 8GB GDDR5, RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 32GB 3000MHz, MB: MSI Z270
December 5, 201213 yr And judging from this thread: http://forums.logitech.com/t5/G-Series-Gaming-Keyboards/G13-analog-stick-is-not-mapped-as-a-real-analog-device-Why-and/m-p/317482#M2084 The issue seems to solved with latest software release, see the last post on the page, there are three option for using joystick. Riccardo OS: Windows 10-64 bit, CPU: i7-7700K @4.20 GHz, GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 G1 8GB GDDR5, RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 32GB 3000MHz, MB: MSI Z270
December 5, 201213 yr You are wellcome, can you let me know if minijoystick is recognized in FSUIPC? as you know I'd like to assign differential brake to one of its axes. Many thanks in advance Riccardo OS: Windows 10-64 bit, CPU: i7-7700K @4.20 GHz, GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 G1 8GB GDDR5, RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 32GB 3000MHz, MB: MSI Z270
