In Progress: YSSY Scenery (FINALLY!)

Featured Replies

Hi, After six years and no YSSY scenery (and apparently no intention of anyone making it), (ever), I have decided to try and create scenery for it myself. As I am sure everyone understands, this project will be a massive undertaking (several months of work), I would like to gather suggestions for inclusions. Instead of filling up the forum, please PM me with your ideas. I will be calling for testers for a beta much later on. As it progresses, I will be posting screenshots. (And now for the best part...it will be 100% freeware). I am sure everyone can agree it is time for a decent YSSY.

Excellent news!

Will you make it compatible with ORBX?

Great news - and I'd be happy to try it out as it goes through the development cycle.

Check out the X-plane iteration which looks pretty good:

You know, Commercial Level Simulations made a Sydney scenery?

I don't know if you got my PM, but I'd love to help in any way possible.

Yeah, and it was CRAP. I bought it and I am lucky if I get 6FPS.

Let's see... You've never done any work before and now you are going to do a major airport? Any developer must prepare themselves for the slings and arrows that may come their way after a release. You might want to start spending some time contemplating what comments will come your way, if and when you release your first work.

I do wish you the best in your efforts. But seeing as you have to ask people what they want you to do, it sounds to me like this is going to be a fun project to keep tabs on. Have you set a release date yet???

Have you set a release date yet

No, but it will not be this year, probably around Feb/March 2013

You've never done any work before

Actually, a while back I created a small airport near Anchorage in Alaska
