Hi,

Will this be updated using the existing updater, or will this be a complete new install process?

When was this released? I guess I missed it.

Oh no, I think it was released today.

I'm updating right now, yes, no reinstall needed.

Released within the last hour or so.

Windows 11 - Samsung 990 Pro M.2 | Asus Prime Z690 | i7 12700KF HT | DeepCool LS520 SE | MSI 5070 Ti Ventus OC | 64GB G.Skill XMP II | Lian Li 216 LANCOOL RGB | TrackIr v5 | Honeycomb Alfa - Bravo - Charlie | MSFS 2024 - Samsung 990 Pro M.2 | Curved 27" MSI | JBL Quantum 810

Yay - got it already.

Don't know if its a bug, but in the Phantom F-4 in 3d cockpit mode I see no clouds. If I go to external view with shift+4 then clouds are there. Is this just me or can someone confirm this?

So anyone who has updated to 64 let us know if there is any performance . Though they have mentioned that it is not a performance update.

I am not seeing any difference. In fact I believe my smoothness level (SL) has gone down somewhat.

I can see the clouds from within the 3D-cockpit of the F-4.

Same performance as far as I tried it.

When I run 10.20b1 the hourglass icon never transitions to the arrow one. The sim runs though. Didn't notice any performance improvements right away, but will test later at OSM Moscow...

Same here, having the same issue. Also there are some other issues with Carenado's caravan, can't click on some of the switches, I guess is because of the hourglass issue.

Seeing some propeller artifacts with Carenado's 172.

Anybody seeing a decrease in loading times or is it just me?

The hourglass turned out to be the Windows net connection authorization request screen in the background, waiting for a click... Now I allways get the right pointer icon :-)

Enjoying 10.20 b1....

"X-Plane 10.20 Beta 1 is a somewhat raw beta. Our goal is to get 64-bit executables into the hands of as many plugin developers as possible as early as possible. There are known bugs that we haven’t held the beta for. We have not yet shipped updates to the airplanes or new art assets for autogen."

I am one of those whose overall experience seems to be smoother, but I always knew my settings brought me to the edge of memory depletion, as lowering resolution or texture settings always made things smoother. Hourglass issue was present and resolved, and I find the smoothness without having to nerf textures also allows me to play with clouds a bit more. (still don't like them)

For the first time, I also wandered quite a bit further from KSEA, and will just say I will be happy to see new, more believable textures and further work on the plausible world.

I always think those big open spaces in the suburbs really really need to be stuffed full of trees even if only temporarily. Those glaring open spaces absolutely kill the "plausibility"

We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.

As posted in another topic, my TrackIR 5 quits after about 10 (or less) seconds. Just hoping the powers to be are looking and will fix shortly. Otherwise, slightly less FRs but the image seems to be sharper (slightly).
