Why don't you open up your fsx.cfg, copy all the text then paste it here for us to take a look at? Not sure what you are talking about a texture problem with the PMDG 737NGX. What is wrong with the textures? Are they not showing? Blurry? Not sure if the FSX.cfg can fix this problem. It could be in your display settings too but first, what is the problem with the textures?

 

I might add there are sites that tell you what the settings in your FSX.cfg should look like. One excellent guide is the one from NickN, Setting up FSX and Tuning it - http://www.simforums.com/forums/topic29041.html. Another good guide is from Word Not Allowed and it can be found here - http://#####.wordpress.com/fsx-software-and-hardware-guide/. As far as the Bojote's program, it works for some and not for all. You could end up with more problems. But the way I see it on his website, you just click on Browse and that will take you to your computer file structure and you just click on AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/FSX and no further than that. The program will find the fsx.cfg and modify it.

Here's a summary of what's been happening from another post I made...

 

Just installed the latest update for FS2Crew and when I started FSX my 737NGX aircraft were all skeletons... you know, like seats on a flat bed truck! Everything else seems fine. Now, I did lose all my add-on liveries when I upgraded FS2Crew and had to re-download them and install them (using the installer, of course). What could have gone wrong and how to I get my textures back.

 

I'll attach a couple screenshots of what I'm up against. FYI... I'm not a newbie. Been simming for 20+ years... since the days of square clouds... All my non-PMDG 737NGX acft are fine. Even the panel for the NGX is screwed up. Take a look and give me an analysis... I'd sure appreciate it.

These duplicate entries may not be the cause of your graphics issues,however,it is always a good idea to have a "clean" cfg file

ANSWER THIS... I copied and pasted my FSX.CFG file into the above post. Verbatim. No changes. If you look about halfway down the file you'll see this entry: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\GAUGES\fs2crew\747P\gcrew27.GAU.zkenkeothelzI TRIED TO USE A PROFANITY HERE - AREN'T I STUPID!ororcqihzuteahlikinoznh=2.

 

I went back and checked my .cfg file and it DOES NOT APPEAR that way. This is how it appears:

The part that IS NOT in my .cfg file is the "TRIED TO USE A PROFANITY HERE - AREN'T I STUPID". The string is also mysteriously changed. In my .cfg it is "XkenkeothelzI TRIED TO USE A PROFANITY HERE - AREN'T I STUPID!ororcqihzuteahlikinoznX=2". Look carefully... it's different. In order to get it to show up I had to change the first and last letters. The beginning "X" should be a "Z" and the last leter should be and "H".

LOL This is simply the automatic anti bad language software of this forum doing its job. By accident some letters in your cfg probably form a word that is on the blacklist and then the software automatically replaces it with 'TRIED TO USE A PROFANITY HERE - AREN'T I STUPID'. Have a good look at the letters that are being replaced: do they form a word you know...?

Are you sure your fsx.cfg is under C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator because that would be the FSX installed path.
