November 24, 201213 yr This aircraft will be doing a 1000' flyover at the premeir for the Hobbit film this Wednesday. The largest graphic ever placed on an aircraft. Better shots of it will come out next week I am sure. Air New Zealand Boeing 777 in Hobbit Livery. Looks amazing: Matthew Kane I'm Dyslexic, what's an error to you is not to me
November 24, 201213 yr Looks awesome on a T7 Mat. Wonder how much that cost to do. The All Blacks livery was about 800,000 smackers, the hobbit would be getting close to that. November 24, 201213 yr Author Not sure the price, but this one is a decal and not paint like the All Blacks aircraft. Article said it took 6 days and nearly 400 man hours, so I am guessing the majority of the costs was in the labour costs. They had to ensure no bubbles were anywhere in the decal and it is 830 square meters. Matthew Kane I'm Dyslexic, what's an error to you is not to me
