Make sure your FSUIPC is up to date.

FSX should not be installed into the default install path.

  • 2 weeks later...

I am not a computer Expert, Ever since I got a new computer with win8 64 and installed FSX\Gold and my addons sometthing has gone wrong, if not the HD a Total USB failure I know this is Hard Ware. I have sent it for repairs under warranty 4 times and the last tiem I got an e-mail from theire ( Medion) tech department explaining that i myself should be able to reformatt the HD to it's original state and beggin a-new.

Now i am wonderring if it's not the .dll that's causing this.

I have had the computer here for several wekks now I almost dare not touch it and start, In the meantime I am using my trusty Dell Vostro 220 with my present FSX installtion and all other needed programs for my computer needs.

Can anyone advice how to proceed?

BTW I have registered FSUIPC.

You need a solid, stable computer first before doing anything with FSX.

I Agree Joe. FSX Installed in its' own folder under C:\ Both in win7 32 and win8 64; That's why I bought the Medion brand new.
