Hi, This email is meant for us folks in the UK only. We're looking @ getting broadband this week, and I'm interested to hear what provider, speed your using for your Broadband, and your opinions on the service. Cheers Willhttp://www.onlinesimulationsolutions.com/sigs/wdosssig.jpg

Hi mate, i don't have BB at home, but we had it at work for demo reasons a little while back (waiting for it to be reinstalled coz we lost the account details :-( ) Anyway we we're using BT openworld at the time at 512kb and had no issues. It was always active, never cutting out and the hardware was/is faultless. We were always downloading music, videos, film trailers etc from kazar etc. I used to d/l most large FS files. At the time the charge would have been (for public use)

Just be a little carefull with BT, as they are going to impose bandwidth limits shortlyDan.

Will,I'm using Plusnet having migrated from Freeserve (Wanadoo) some 6 months ago. I'm currently using a 1mb connection and have been very happy with the service provided to date. Excellent download speeds and so far never any problems logging in.They have quite a number of services on offer so I recommend you go and have a look at their website.www.plus.comI particularly like their customer services page which along with a traffic liight status of all services provided also gives you details such as the longest call waiting to be answered at their call centre as well as the avergage time to resolve problems etc.It just goes to show how open they are with their customer services.I hope this helps.

Thanx for that info, im gonna take a look too :-)

Very happy here, using Freeserve (it was when I signed up!), now Wannadoo, on their 512k unlimited service. No connection problems, and consistant downloading from most sources at 60kbps. I've used Freeserve for years and always liked them, and now BB having reached my area last autumn has brought a bit happy fat grin to my face!!

I'm using Pipex http://www.pipex.net/

I use Bluyonder, not ASDL but cable, ,ime is 750k, but you can get 1.5mb and 3mb systems, i have mine plugged into the networkcard and it is allways on, i seem to remeber i had some trouble when it went down for about a week a few years ago but otherwise it has been ultra reliable. i would recomend cable if you live in a telewest or ntl area.

Agreed, been with Pipex for nearly 3 years now, only one outage caused by some BT gimp cutting the wrong wire at our local switch box, a quick call to Pipex and I was up and running the next day. Can't recommend them highly enough either :-)Ian
