why would say a stupid thing like that when I made it clear I didnt?

I suspect the Duplicate Account system is some sort of automatic computer program, and what it does, and how stupidly it appears to acts, is in direct correlation to how naive the programmer was, when they created the program.

 

Stupid in = Stupid out

 

There is no reasoning with the computer program (or the automated notice from the VATSIM central database {sigh} ), so your best solution is to communicate with your Regional Director or your Divisional Director.

 

It might have been less impersonal, if the program had had the intelligence, to tell you who these people were, and how to get in touch with them.

 

A sad case of a computer programmer (who stereotypically are know to have poor people to people skill), creating programs that are meant to replace people that deal with other people.

I am guessing the "dart throwing contest" was on a bulletin board of VATSIM user ID's. Since his suspension was sudden and random, like a bolt out of the blue, it was easy for him to picture some Olympian - some VATSIMian dart game who's dart apparently punched zoran's ticket.

I was just starting to get right into Vatsim with a 737 flight from Klax to Ksfo yesterday that was fully staffed and had me right on my toes with sweaty palms even, was quite a buzz actually and then boom Im out just like that

 

I do suspect that many have been burnt and not bothered to go back to vatsim

Not the first time Vatsim has suspended for ridiculous reasons and it won't be the last either.

 

They are sorely in need of an overhaul in many areas, mainly their operational rules as the online world has changed much since vatsim's creation.

Yes I read it, and was just interpreting the message. If that is not the case then the advice above will work to get it sorted out.

I had a run in with one of the supervisors the other night on USA-East server. I was doing a VFR - TEXT ONLY, typed everything up in the UNICOM Chat window to announce that I was "Pushing back at the ramp, expecting taxi to RWY 29 via Delta-Alpha-Alpha 2, for VFR Departure to the North (TEXT Only)" I got all the way to the runway hold short when a supervisor PMs me typing in CAPS.. "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!? YOU DID NOT GET CLEARANCE TO TAXI. YOU NEED TO CONTACT THE CONTROLLER BY VOICE!!! IF YOU TAKE OFF I WILL BAN YOU!!!" --- I was at a Non-Towered Airport, in a Non-Center Region. Who the heck is going to give me clearance to taxi if there is no one watching my airport dumb@$.........???????????????

 

after I made him aware of that little fact, he was silent for about 3 min, and a controller came on at my airport, gave me clearance to take off, then as soon as I got out of the Charlie Airspace, the controller disconnected. ##### was that for????? IDIOTS!!!

well no surprises there however I was urged to plead my case by my VA even though I had nothing to plead . I hope they are able to better structure there suspension system so its less offensive and more transparent.
