Nvidia driver version 310.90 WHQL is out!

Others might feel differently Bozdog, but I install the new driver update directly over the old one. Just let the installer do all the work and its never caused me one issue with FSX.

Thank you think I will give it a try got the PC about 3 weeks ago and only just got it all

working nicely , main use is fsx but I do have far cry3 and heard drivers are very good for that.

Just worried that having finally got it all working that the new drivers will mess it all up!

All good fun !

Update took the plunge I run on triple screens 680gtx it got half way through the instal and then stopped withh error about unable to address memory and two of the monitors switched off . started to get that horrible feeling in my stomach. Anyway rebooted and it said I had 310.9 Ran the installer again and all went fine all installed successfully . Loaded up PMDG NGX at Bournemouth airport I normally get between 24-25 frames on take off for my test conditions. Sat nicely at 29.9 and dipped to 28 at take off so first impressions are good ! Loaded a default plane normally get 29.9 when sat at Dubai default airport . It was a rock steady 30 dipped to 29.9 on take off. It looks to me like it was worth the risk for me on fsx but long term testing may prove otherwise , lets hope not . Spookily my 3d mark 2011 has dropped by a couple of hundred but farcry3 FPS GONE UP 15-20 !!

Just did the install of 310-90 and it work just fine on my GTX 550ti. No problems and my settings have not changed. Did not do a fps test but everything looked fine.

Did the 310.90 driver upgrade. too; didn't notice any changes and saw no frame impact.

Well I tried two of the latest WHQL drivers (310.90 and 310.70) and both messed up other apps I have that use Direct Draw and OpenGL. (Most noticeable on Imaging apps and PCTools Registry Mechanic)

I’m sticking with 306.97.

Hi all,

I just downloaded driver 310.90 for my GTX660M ( and Intel 4000HD ) on win7 , and FSX doesnt detect the Nvidia card.

I removed the drivers, cleaned the registry with driver sweeper and re installed and doesn't work. I update it from the old 2xx version which was working fine.

What am I doing wrong? Or what should I do to make FSX recognize my nvidia . I set it as the default card for fsx, applied the settings via inspector and ran it a administrator, still made no difference.

1Any help is appreciated :)

Thanks

Ben
