January 6, 201313 yr The Nvidia GeForce driver version 310.90 WHQL, dated from Jan. 5th 2013, is out. Nvidia Geforce driver 310.90 WHQL release notes. Has anyone tested it with FSX yet? How about IQ, fps, artifacts, (micro)stutters, etc? FYI, I myself downgraded the GeForce driver on my PC from 310.70 to 306.97 after reading this post: Warning about the new 310.70 drivers
January 7, 201313 yr I'll wait... I am working fine on 310.70.... As Word Not Allowed said, who is the guinea-pig?
January 7, 201313 yr After 15 minutes of testing, I can confirm that this driver seems to be business as usual. No performance increases or deceases.
January 7, 201313 yr Couldn't resist, eh, Ben ? Thanks to the OP for the heads-up but after reading the release notes I see no major benefit(s) over my current 310.70 drivers which are doing me just fine. jime James D. Edwards
January 7, 201313 yr Thanks guinea-pig! -Anthony Young- "For once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards, for there you have been and there you will long to return." - Leonardo da Vinci
January 7, 201313 yr No issues here. http://fs2crew.com/banners/Banner_FS2Crew_MJC_Supporter.png Wayne HART
January 7, 201313 yr Thanks guinea-pig! would my Nvidea inspector tweaks remain unchanged? If you don't select the option "clean install" then you shouldn't have problems. You are! Thanks a bunch! Gonna move. Not a problem! - Glad I could help
January 7, 201313 yr No import them into Nvidia Inspector when you have installed the new driver, oh and make sure you have exported first so you don't have to save them all again. http://fs2crew.com/banners/Banner_FS2Crew_MJC_Supporter.png Wayne HART
January 7, 201313 yr I finally figured that out too with saving my Nvidia Inspector profile for FSX. Then download the new driver and re-apply your previous inspector settings. The driver update always changed one or two settings and this method is a snap. Seems as though Ben is the guinea pig for a lot of things lol. Chris Sunseri
January 7, 201313 yr For those having those random crashes with 310.70, is the issue fixed with 310.90? I guess I'll just see for myself.
January 7, 201313 yr would my Nvidea inspector tweaks remain unchanged? Business as usual for me too: no problems, no changes with the 310.90 But check your FSX Nvidia Inspector settings: my 'Anti aliasing - Behaviour Flags' setting was changed, also as usual .... With kind regards, Bart S.
January 8, 201313 yr Do you do a "clean" instal or just instal over the top by running the driver installer? Only just got my new PC and never updated the driver before. Thanks 3080rtx on a i7 12700k with 32 Gig ddr5. 2gig Ssd Quest 2 Windows 11
