Holy Smoke Batman- X-Plane 10 Global in 64-bits!

I stumbled across this video just now, and the first thing I thought of was the Redpiper vid Vteckick posted. Other than the way the lightning lights up the sky, it's pretty close to real, imo.

That is real, correct?

Yeah, and my wording was off. What I meant was that using that video for comparison, X-Plane in the same weather conditions looks pretty close, with the exception of the lightning.

Initially, I thought that was XP 10 with HDR. The way the runway was lit up by the strobe lights is EXACTLY how I experienced them on the default Cessna. And the ground nightlighting also looks like XP 10 at night. It wasn't until I saw the cabin that I realized it was a real video. LOL

This is an example of what I'm talking about, X-Plane clouds like this, makes it look like Mt St Helen's erupted, and doesn't look anything like the real world comparison.

I have since found this video which makes it look a lot better and realistic. A little unusual flying in these conditions, he had absolutely no turbulence, but I guess that's a subject for the Flying on rails thread!!

Thanks

I've seen stormy conditions that look a lot like the XP side in the first video. Georgia in the Spring can feature some downright scary skies.
