January 8, 201313 yr Can't wait to fly out of england, save flight, disable england, enable norway, load flight and continue... With global textures one is closer to solving the issue, although it would need global autogen replacement as well. The reason for the problems with ORBX regions lies with how default FSX is divided into regions: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc707102.aspx#Regions Simmerhead - Making the virtual skies unsafe since 1987!
January 8, 201313 yr Can't wait to fly out of england, save flight, disable england, enable norway, load flight and continue... You won't have to,at least not between Ftxglobal and Ftx regions , they are working on that issue. So as a summary will it be worth the 190.00 or not? You have to decide for yourself! -Iain Watson-
January 8, 201313 yr Can't wait to fly out of england, save flight, disable england, enable norway, load flight and continue... You wouldn't have to... When Norway(Region pack) gets out it will be in the "EU region" and England is also in the "EU region" so no switching would be necessary, just like when flyng from NA PNW to NA PFJ you don't need to switch regions... But flying from EU to NA sure would require a switch... If they have not found a solution to the custom autogen for different regions by then..(there are some good reasons for them to use the switching, It's an FSX limitation) I reallly became aware of this limitaton when trying to get France VFR and ES Channel Island scenery to work with eachother, It was a pain in the &@($* and never could get it to work, even with the autogen merge tool from ES.

Yes, you would with the current tech since you basically need to switch between the default FSX regions: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc707102.aspx#Regions Simmerhead - Making the virtual skies unsafe since 1987!
January 9, 201313 yr Damn, looks like youre right, that would mean we have to switch between England, Netherlands and Norway as they are in three different regions  (I thought the regions whas based on continents) But It worked in AU, we didn't have to switch beetwen X Australia and G Australia. I'm sure they work something out(putting all the EU regions into one etc...I really hope so if not I'll uninstall FSX and never look back, because that would be just to much switching when flying short legs)
January 9, 201313 yr If I have to switch anything Region, Landclass, Mesh or any of that Im not buying it. Ron Hamilton "95% is half the truth, but most of it is lies, but if you read half of what is written, you'll be okay." __ Honey Boo Boo's Mom
January 9, 201313 yr If I have to switch anything Region, Landclass, Mesh or any of that Im not buying it. We where talking about the region packs not FTX Global, don't think you have to do any switching with the FTX Global product.(Correct me if im wrong)

I have all the Ultimate Terrain products so I live fine without the detailed regions. Simmerhead - Making the virtual skies unsafe since 1987!
