PFC Beech yoke arriving tomorrow

Featured Replies

Just tracked my new PFC yoke it and it's on schedule to be delivered tomorrow. As a real world pilot having flown both the King Air 90 and Pilatus PC-12, I'm anxious to find out how it compares. I had a terrible time finding reviews for the PFC yokes, and I'm thinking of submitting a user review if it would be helpful to anyone.

Welcome to AVSIM!

A review with some videos would be wonderful! Thanks for considering helping the community.

I was thinking of purchasing one, but they are just too expensive. Did you order the version with hall effect sensors?

No HE sensors. Didn't even know about them until after I ordered. May replace with them after a year or two. Will report back tomorrow.

Thanks Word Not Allowed. Your review was actually the most comprehensive that I read prior to purchase. I meant to mention it in my post but forgot.

Just got done with my first flight with the new yoke in the Pilatus which is what I fly in the real world. My first impression is that I'm impressed so far at the feel. Went up and did some slow flight, stalls and steep turns which is something I've never felt compelled to do on FSX and was pretty blown away. All that was missing was the stick shaker.

I'm gathering my thoughts and want to try some other aircraft and will report back.

Hi,

I have owned a PFC Column Yoke for many years, it is by far one of the best purchases I've made for Flight Simulation. If I had to do all over again, I'd buy a PFC yoke again in a minute.

The only thing I'd like to see changed are the pots for optical encoders. Other than that, I think the yoke is great.

Former Beta Tester - (for a few companies) - As well as provide Regional Voice Set Recordings

                Two: AMD-9950X | One: AMD-7950X3D | Three: Asus TUF 4090s | Three: 64GB DDR5 RAM 6000mhz | Three: Cosair 1300 P/S | Three: 990Pro 2TB NVME                    One: Eugenius ECS2512 - 2.5 GHz Switch | Three: Ice Giant Elite CPU Coolers | Three: 75" 4K UHDTVs | One: Boeing 737NG Flight Deck

The only thing I'd like to see changed are the pots for optical encoders. Other than that, I think the yoke is great.

Does this relate to the somewhat-new hall effect sensors option, or are optical encoders unrelated?

Mattcwell - so what do you think about the Beech model? I am ready to dive in for the Beech or Saab yoke + Turboprop TQ + Console but I can't really decide on the yoke.

The form factor seems more in tune with my flying (mainly GA to twins with moderate ERJ + JS41. NGX is thrown in once or twice a month for good measure). The Saab layout looks "ok". The case color (not a big deal) doesn't match the console that will be sitting right next to the yoke. However, there are more buttons.

The Beech looks better, form factor is more to my liking but less buttons. I don't really use a stack of buttons any longer. Really just to toggle EZCA views and PTT ATC on Vatsim.

I want to know what you have found on your Beech. Love it? It's ok?
