January 23, 201313 yr After days and many hours spend (reading these and other forums for solutions) I came to the conclusion that the PMDG 737 NGX and Logitech force 3D are enemies... 8 out of 10 times that I dare touch the joystick, while the plane is flying via FMC/Autopilot the Autopilot gets disengaged. To fly a successful flight plan I must do all the controlling via the keyboard or mouse. Are any other guys here that have this problem? and I did the Tutorial 1 and the same thing happens. stelios Stelios Christofides
January 23, 201313 yr No problems with the 3D Force here. I assume you have tried adjusting the null zones etc? Daniel Nilsson
January 23, 201313 yr This is the reason I retired my old Logitech force 3D and bought a new Logitech extreme 3D pro, I had my issues with the MD-11 and got the new flightstick for the NGX, no problems since. A lot of the issue came down to the sloppyness because of the rubbish force feedback. Jay Vorkapic
January 23, 201313 yr Have you set the the options for the joystick not to over-ride the auto pilot? This is in the FMC - setup / options / simulation / page 2 set A/T manual over-ride to NEVER. Kevin O'Connell Kevin O'Connell
January 23, 201313 yr Author Kevin No, I never new that that'a fantastic if it can be done. I will try it tonight. stelios Stelios Christofides

Kevin O'Connell This'll only stop the joystick from overriding the auto throttle, though. Not sure if a general "all controls" override can be set... Oliver Branaschky Oliver Branaschky
January 23, 201313 yr Three things: Don't use force feedback Calibrate the joystick within FSX only Adjust the null zones Daniel Nilsson
January 23, 201313 yr I use G940 (which is crap) but FF works great, all I had to do was to disable almost all FF effects in FSX and leave only "Stick shaker" and "Surfaces" on. I have also covered that stupid sensor with tape, so joystick constantly thinks that I'm holding it, but of course I have no idea how older Logitechs work. Also my G940 needs to be calibrated in Logitech software instead of FSX. Sorry for my English, I hope it makes any sense
January 23, 201313 yr Author Daniel When you say "Adjust the null zones" means move the sliders to the right? stelios Stelios Christofides
January 23, 201313 yr I have the Force 3D as well, but I disabled the joystick in FSX's default control settings and I'm using FSUIPC to calibrate and send control inputs to FSX. Matheus Mafra
January 23, 201313 yr When you say "Adjust the null zones" means move the sliders to the right? Yeah, I have all null zones set just a tad to the right of center. If you get the picture? Daniel Nilsson
