February 2, 201313 yr Thanks for the response Ró, very good as always. No bother, glad I could help. Forgot to include, that all the photos are mine Welcome to Avsim! ^_^ Great photo's by the way. Some weather we've had this week eh? Hope you didn't mind me linking that photo on here, was quite the impressive shot. Regards, Ró. Rónán O Cadhain.
February 3, 201313 yr Oh the irony. Today the the winds were straight down the main runway at Dublin, unfortunately, someone put a dent in the main runway early on in the day so it was closed for most of the day while they ran around quickly trying to patch it up and we all had to use the crosswind runway which had just reopened after it was patched up but was now in a direct crosswind, go figure. Now that's the luck of the Irish! :Four Leaf Clover: Rónán O Cadhain.

February 4, 201313 yr and we all had to use the crosswind runway Should be well practised from the other day! Soon you won't remeber how to land normally :LMAO: "If you can't solve and equation with calculus, you're not using enough calculus" - A wise friend
February 4, 201313 yr Hmpf, I had some really amazing pics from a A310 and MD-11 KC-10A landing with a crosswind and producing a close call. Can't link them as the site with the airliner photos isn't allowed. :( But (site)/photo/SATA-International/Airbus-A310-325-ET/1615692/L/ really looks . (site)/photo/USA---Air/McDonnell-Douglas-KC-10A/1724855/L/ is the KC-10A.
February 4, 201313 yr But (site)/photo/SATA-International/Airbus-A310-325-ET/1615692/L/ really looks . That'd be the 1% sheer terror alright!!! :Whew: Rónán O Cadhain.
February 5, 201313 yr In the a310 shot, I couldn't see any rudder deflection, I would imagine as the camera is straight on to the plane the rudder would have been obviously to the left(pilots perspective). Any thoughts? "If you can't solve and equation with calculus, you're not using enough calculus" - A wise friend
