January 31, 201313 yr Hi Folks Had thought it might have been today, but Tatitna is a repeat, and tomorrow is Flashback Friday. If Saturday's 02/02/2013 AOTD is not a repeat, then it should become the 200th unique Aerocache Of The Day. Happy Hunting. ATB Paul ODG Preview
January 31, 201313 yr Paul, Does my math add up correctly? I show 71 permanent AC on the list as of today. If there are (to be) 200 unique AC, then the total is 270? These numbers don't include Curvature of the Earth, which was replaced as a permanent. If 270 is the correct, current total as of (whenever the next unique shows up), then I wonder where I've lost 26 ACs, as my total collected is 243 (+next/200). I know I've missed a few along the way, but I would be surprised that it had added up to 26.
January 31, 201313 yr I'm not sure what the total should be, but I have 252 recorded and I haven't missed any. I don't include the Curvature as I ignored it. Naturally, this includes all of the in-game caches as well as the AOTD's. Thank you. January 31, 201313 yr Author Hi Lance I think you've missed less than your calc might suggest, as you've counted some Aerocaches twice. i.e. Those originally released as AoTDs which have since been elevated/converted to permanent Aerocaches. There's been a total of 252 Aerocaches made available to date, (including Curvature of the Earth). 53 of which are the original permanent Aerocaches, comprising 13 Free-To-Play and 40 Hawaiian Adventure Pack. From your 71 figure, that'd equate to 18 AoTDs elevated/converted to permanent Aerocaches. My 199 figure of unique AoTDs released to date includes the 2 off original permanent Aerocache locations which were re-released as AoTDs with different titles & GUIDs, and AFAIK 1 off faulty AoTD which has never been fixed & re-released, (Waiiki Pond). January 31, 201313 yr Author Hi Richard I think there's been a total of 252 Aerocaches made available to date, (including Curvature of the Earth). Check your C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Flight\Shared\UI\Aerocaches There should be 504 pics in there. It includes all aerocaches, (both earned & as yet unearned). February 1, 201313 yr I think you've missed less than your calc might suggest, My math would work well, if I wanted to be a Government Economist.... But it's nice to know I haven't missed more than a few. Hawai'i? Maybe one or two, Alaska? More there, for sure. Thanks, Paul!
February 1, 201313 yr I have checked and I have 252 which does not include curvature. Thank you. Rick $Silver Donor EAA 1317610 I7-7700K @ 4.5ghz, MSI Z270 Gaming MB, 32gb 3200, Geforce RTX2080 Super O/C, 28" Samsung 4k Monitor, Various SSD, HD, and peripherals

February 1, 201313 yr Author Hi Richard I have checked and I have 252 which does not include curvature. Your 252 does include Curvature of the Earth. If you look in-game you'll find that Curvature of the Earth is no longer listed. HTH ATB Paul ODG Preview
February 2, 201313 yr Author Hi Folks Herschel Island Oil Rig is a worthy 200th anniversary AoTD. Nice find Sergiosky47. ATB Paul ODG Preview
February 2, 201313 yr Didn't we already do an oil rig? Seen one, you've seen them all, I say! Maybe we can have an "Oil Rig Month" of AotD? I mean really, oil rigs? Running to hide from Paul....
February 2, 201313 yr Author Hi Lance Seen one, you've seen them all, I say! LMAO. Many a true word spoken in jest. Particularly apposite for FLIGHT's beautifully modeled rig, given there's only 3 off of that design in the entire world, and she's definitely not ice-capable. Unlike these two, Molikpak & SSDC, both photographed off Herschel Island in the late 80's. ATB Paul ODG Preview
February 2, 201313 yr I sort of suspected that Paul would know all about oil rigs! After all these years. Thanks for the information, Paul, and the images. Best regards. Luis Hot, humid Caribbean paradise!
