February 28, 201313 yr Moderator What I hate here is when developers bundle their versions together where there's no way to trace FS9 buyers from FSX buyers (you get both for the price of one). These same developers go on to say FS9 products aren't selling. FSDT, Aerosoft, Flightbeam, and others give you both the FS9 and FSX versions of the software for one price like you said. The way they "track" the sales between both versions is based on which version you download, since your account gives links to both versions. So if 10 customers buy producy "X" and 2 of the 10 actually download the FS9 version, they derive their sales data from that. Some also take into account the amount of online activations for each version for "dual sale/version" products. Takes the guess work out determining which product is actually getting "purchased" using those methods. Hope this helps. Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
