February 17, 201313 yr This may be documented somewhere, and I apologize in advance if it is, but is it possible to pause the recognition of voice commands during the cruise phase? I've had a few errant voice commands switch something on or off when I was at cruise and it would be helpful to "switch off" the voice recognition temporarily to prevent that. Then switch it back on when things run up again prior to descent. - Aaron
February 17, 201313 yr aaron i'm not aware of a software "key" to switch off ... i do as you want by a switch on my headest cable and / or pull the mic cable from my computer's jack. a crude but effective way & which stops the copilot responding to errant noise etc !! for now, cheers john martin
February 17, 201313 yr Author There is, although it's a simple slide switch and I guess I just wonder how long that will last with continual use. Just a thought though to add a simple command that would tell the first officer to ignore input. Thanks for the responses. - Aaron
