More Praise for NGX

I'm probably the only guy who just now finished tutorial 2 (with success minus a little navdata hiccup). I bought this plane when it came out and still fly it frequently as a BBJ (the B738 WL).

A few months back, my good friend, who is captain on a CRJ2, tried programming the CDU/FMS/FMC (I never know what it's called - I'm a GA guy!). We were just doing some fun things in the radar pattern where I work ATC, Duluth MN. At this point I'd never done tutorial 2, but anyway he showed me how to display some of the cool things on the FIX page and also do exactly what the tutorial mentioned like DLH/-20 - make an imaginary fix 20 miles in front of DLH vortac. Or entering DLH180/GEP340 (the point where DLH 180 radial and Gopher 340 radial intersects). Heck, even the Abeam functions worked!

Point is that being a RW RJ captain (their equipment is similar I guess), he was able to teach me how to program the NGX based on his rw knowledge hehe! I thought that was incredible.

He was extremely impressed.

He only wished for a PMDG CRJ2 :P I told him about the JRollon XP version.

Anyway, I really enjoy flying this thing and probably do as much as my Legacy, RV7, and Citation Mustang.

Thanks PMDG for a solid product!

I'll never waste another dollar on another vendor (waiting for the 777) ... although I have heard the Majestic Software Dash8-Q400 is supposed to be a fantastic bird in its own right ... we shall see!

I'll never waste another dollar on another vendor (waiting for the 777) .

Almost agree Charles, Because PMDG won't go to the dark side and do airbus, I am waiting for the A320 from Fslabs. I sort of think Lefteris is part PMDG,so feel he will do a similar job.

Every day when I fire up the computer, I check to see if any news on the 777 and the 320. I might have to add the Dash8, again as I think PMDG will not do this?

I wasted "9.99" on another vendor's T7 which has caused me more pain than "wasting" 80 Dollars on the right one ... oops, this is the 737NGX forum, my apologies!

What happened to AVSIM

I'm probably the only guy who just now finished tutorial 2

Don't worry Ryan. I'm probably the only guy in the world who doesn't own the NGX! I fly the bigger guys like the 747-400 and MD-11. That's pretty cool about your Captain friend who's impressed with the NGX. We can be thankful RSR is in charge and for PMDG's overall excellence in quality.
