March 21, 201313 yr Yeah...................... There are two lessons here: 1) Never leave me unsupervised with critical equipment. It can and WILL fail. 2) There is a reason for the checklist- and me of ALL people should have no problems adhering to one. Wait - let me get this straight - you gun-decked a checklist that pertained to critical equipement? Lordy... you never did that in the past, right !!!!!! :Nail Biting: :Shame On You: LOL... :Peace: Regards, Al Jordan | KCAE

March 23, 201313 yr Commercial Member Moral of the story is don't install Windows updates, only install service packs. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc750077.aspx Bottom line: Hotfixes (Windows update) are only meant to be applied on a need-only basis as they are untested, period. I never run Windows update for this reason, and I never have problems as a result. Best regards, Robin.
