As to the HUD issue, it could be that the CLR button is pushed on the HUD controller (down near your transponder on the pedestal).  If not, it could be a corrupted file.  I've never dealt with the corrupted file, though, so I'll wait for someone more knowledgeable to post about that.

There's an entry in the dll.xml file that refers to the hud. Some people were going in there turning it off thinking it would increase FPS, I would look in there. There were issues with that file back in the LVD767 days. Flight 1 made a nice tool that allowed you to edit that file and it was free.

How will i edit the dll.xml and where is it located?

Thanks!

Daniel Jeremy

Don't remember, there are many other posts about it. Its in the same folder as the fsx.cfg file.

Send  your xml.dll  to the link  I supplied  you need to register   first  than they will send  the amended  xml  .dll back to you

or  by chance you have made a back up copy of  your hard  drive  than you can do it  yourself,  by just replacing the xml.dll to the corrupted one

Will reinstalling the product do the job?

Daniel Jeremy

If a PMDG development team member offers to fix the problem for you, I'd say your best bet is to take him up on that first and pursue other avenues (such as re-installation, which should be a last-ditch effort in any case) only if all else fails.

That's not a good practice to get into.  Sometimes that can cause more problems than what it had intended to fix.

Don't buy a new car if all you need to do is change the oil.

I think that reinstalling it will be much faster..

I never said it wouldn't be faster.  I said that it was not smart.

I would get to work faster if I drove 140 MPH, but it's not entirely smart to do so.

It seems like you enjoy refering cars to installing a PMDG product...
