FSUIPC Problem That Needs To Be Resolved

Featured Replies

I have programed my Saitek X52 Joystick and Throttle using both the FSUIPC  ( payed version )and FS controls. I have been very carefull not to program the same key or axis on both at the same time. Everything has worked like a charm except for one toggle at the top of the joystick. I cannot pan and hold. Example, looking at the instrument panel, when I pan to the right, it will not stay. When released, it goes back to the instrument panel. Hours have been spent trying to resolve this problem. In FSUIPC, I  have tried both the axis and also the buttons format plus all the options that it has.  This is something that is absolutly necessary, so I can have full control in seeing the various things in the cockpit. Is this a known issue?  If so, has anyone found a solution?

The solution is to disable your controls in FSX and only use FSUIPC to configure them.

Then programming the hat switch should work fine using the buttons menu in FSUIPC and by selecting FScontrols > pan left, right ect. the view should stay where you last panned to.

I have just checked and mine works fine like this

That was one of the first things that I tried, but it didn't work.

Some of the controls have been programed through FSX, but care was taken not to program  the same controls through  FSUIPC.

The snap back isn't controlled by FSUIPC, it's a function of the settings in the cameras.cfg file. There are several good articles about the cameras - research those and you should be able to do anything you want with the hat switch.

And there is your problem, please disable your controllers in FSX and just use Fsuipc.

Come back and tell us how you get on

I've never had to disable anything in FS while using FSUIPC's interface as well... why on earth do people insist on providing information that's just flat out false?

Although that may true, if you in inadvertently have dual assignments, fsx default and FSUIPC you can obviously have problems. Just for simplicity I disable FS controllers.

I got it. I've been trying to program my default toggle for days. Then I decided to try the toggle next to it at the very top. Why the one didn't work is beyond me. Thanks guys!

Because almost all the guides for programming Saitek hardware (yoke, throttle, pedals) with FSUIPC say you have to remove duplicate FS commands.
