April 15, 201313 yr I have put a new SSD HD in my PC and have made a fresh install of FSX and have started to put some add-ons in. One of the first planes to install is off course PMDG 737NGX, but when I check in on my account to download it, I get the message "NOTE This URL has expired" I bought the 737NGX as a download on 2011-08-31. Are there a time limit on how long I can download it or what's wrong? J.Lundtoft Jorn Lundtoft I don't always stop and look at airplanes.........Oh wait, Yes I do. April 15, 201313 yr Commercial Member Are there a time limit on how long I can download it or what's wrong? Yes, there is, and there was a notification on that page of when it would expire. You can purchase an extended download service to re-download it. In the future, I'd highly suggest backing up all of your purchases. People didn't throw away the CDs some of their older software came with, so I don't know why people delete their installers for downloaded products now. Just doesn't make sense... Kyle Rodgers
April 15, 201313 yr Author Hold on now, I haven't thrown anything away. It's all on an extern HD that I haven't got hooked up to my PC right now, I just thought by downloading it (again) I would be sure to have the latest version with all updates, hotfixes etc. Guess I will have to find it tomorrow (it's time for bed now) and reinstall it then. April 16, 201313 yr If you didn't save it on another hard drive and you have to re download it it will cost you a small fee again happened to me. Rich Sennett
April 16, 201313 yr Author Well, that's a first and definitely the last time that I will have to pay twice for the same thing (which I won't). I've always been a big fan of PMDG, but I can say that no matter how great their products are, they can't expect people to pay several times for a product, even IF they haven't got a backup (which I have, I just wanted to be sure that I have the latest version.) Oh, I'm glad I'm an Airbus man, so there's no doubt who will get my business from now on (can you say Aerosoft?) Jorn Lundtoft I don't always stop and look at airplanes.........Oh wait, Yes I do. April 16, 201313 yr To be fair, You dont have to pay full price again just a little sum think its something like $4.99 when you think about it the quality of PMDG products compared to other fs comanies i wold say the 4.99 was well worth it to get back a decent addon back. Craig Hobson
April 16, 201313 yr Author "well worth it to get back a decent addon back." That's the point, I allready have it on a different HD, I just wanted to be sure I have the latest version, that's why I would like to download it from PMDG, not because I've lost it. BTW. What's the latest version number? Jorn Lundtoft I don't always stop and look at airplanes.........Oh wait, Yes I do. April 16, 201313 yr The one including SP1c is the latest. The SP's are available from PMDG's website for instant download and for free. I was able to install them on top of boxed PMDG planes, too (the boxes with PMDG planes I own are up-to-date anyway, just saying it's technically possible). Installing one of those SPs on top of your archived download should even be possible, too, I reckon. What happened to AVSIM

You're paying to replace your installer file that you lost, which is your own responsibility, not ours. Do you think a physical store would give you a new boxed copy if you lost that too? Bandwidth costs money (a lot when you send out the volumes we do) and if we let everyone who loses their installer redownload without covering that cost, it would cause a huge dent in the operation for us. (the fact that it was was why we implemented the fee in 2006). 2. If you did in fact still have your installer, then you need to use the SP1c update on our site - this is 100% the exact same thing as using a newer version of the full installer. We're not going to send out 700+ MB files (which again costs us money in bandwidth over and over) when the smaller update + an older installer is the exact same thing. Just because you think it isn't doesn't make it so - why exactly would I lie about that? Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
April 16, 201313 yr Author Hmmm, I think youre putting words in my mouth that I have never said! I have never implied or said anyone is lying, I have said in my second post that I still have the installer on a secondary HD, I JUST wanted to be sure I have the latest version and was sure I could download the latest version without problems. You could just explain that I just have to download the SP1, and then I would be up to date with it. End of discussion from my side. April 17, 201313 yr Post #5 was completely off the mark. But the vast majority of "my" retailers would let me re-download GB's of installers over and over again 'til infinity. What happened to AVSIM
