Thank You Majestic!

This is great news!

Just downloaded it and now - ... reading and enjoying!

Super!

Cheers, Christoph

Enjoy flying and happy landings.

I don't think this "bird" too complicated. It's pretty automated.

Condition Levers and Power Levers have detents, it's all FADEC.

There is a very good post about VNAV in another thread, but I personally fly without it. B)

YES! FADEC is everything. Start the engine by pushing start, leaving for a cup of coffee. FADEC takes care of everything!

The zip file is missing the FLT file, or is there another way to load the fssave and weather files?

Yes flt fille is missing choose Toronto downswiew gate 3 for starting place. Weather won t be the same but it should not be a problem

Sorry guys- I must have deleted it somewhere down the line between PC/Mac. If you'd like I can recreate the WX from March 20th in activesky and save that, along with the flt file and put it in my dropbox.

Well, that wasn't too hard...

This flight file is from my original "picture taking" setting back in March. I downloaded the ActiveSky weather for that date, 0500Z report (but the sim is set to daytime, as I live in another part of the world). It is snowing in CYZD, which is pretty much the weather I had back then.

Just assume your aircraft has been deiced with super-awesome Type IV fluid, your holdover time is until they make FSXI.

thanks a lot brendan, it's easier to work with the FLT files as then i'm starting exactly the same place as you are! thank you so much on your great work on the advanced tutorial.

Anyone interested in learning the technical aspects of the Q400, see here: http://www.smartcockpit.com/plane/BOMBARDIER/DASH-8-400.html

Unfortunately there are no normal procedures, but at least you'll know what every button does.

looks like an exact copy of the bombardier factory manual- same graphics and everything. Just stripped of the logos :)
