April 29, 201313 yr Hello folks, I have a bunch of Saitek hardware that I have been using with FSX and now that I have P3D on its way to me, I was wondering if anyone is using any of this hardware with P3D? I sent an email to LM and got a response that they didn't understand the question. Multi Panel (AP, Flaps, Trim) Radio Panel Switch Panel (Gear, Mags, Switches) Backlit Status Panel TPM (Single Throttle, Prop, Mixture) Throttle Quadrants Big Cessna Trim Wheel Combat Ruder Pedals Cessna Yoke X52 Pro FlightStick and Throttle Thanks, Ray When Pigs Fly . April 29, 201313 yr Raymar, long time no see :-) Yes, I am using just one from your list, and another one also Saitek: - X52 Pro FlightStick and Throttle - Saitek Rudder Pedals (not the Cessna rudge model) - Saitek Cyborg X I use the axis and buttons from the Cyborg to complement those from the x52 Pro. Welcome - Prepar3d is a great platform! Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
April 29, 201313 yr I use Multi, Radio and Switch panels via FSUIPC and SPAD on client computer and throttle quadrant direct to the FSX server machine.
April 29, 201313 yr Hi, I use Multi Panel, Radio Panel, and Switch Panel via the Spad Drivers on the Main FS Computer (Server). TPM, Cessna Yoke, Cessna Trim Wheel, and Cessna Pedals work via the default Saitek Drivers on the main machine. Combat pedals should work the same way. In Addition, I have 9 Saitek Flight Instrument Panels working via Simconnect with Drivers on a Client Computer. These were to only ones requiring a bit of patience to get working. Concerning Yoke, TPM etc. I found it a good advice to coypy the "Standard.xml" from fsx (in the "Controls" subdirectory of the Directory where your fsx.cfg. resides, in case you still have fsx installed) to the corresponding Prepar3d Directory and adjust for proper sensitivity etc. in Preapr3d. April 29, 201313 yr Author Thanks all for the quick and positive responses. I will be starting with a p3d only simulator. I plan to get familiar with the LM look and feel before mixing it up with FSX. This one has the yoke and throttle unit built into the hardware. I am looking forward to some time with a pure P3d setup. Thanks again for your responses. Ray When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
October 23, 201411 yr I have two quadrants and the pedals.........the quads are giving me fits!!!........some are smooth from min to max, others go to near top of slide then jump from zero to full in i/4 of an inch.......I have tried all kinds of work-arounds and now are kinda OK, but not RIGHT.......this only happened when I used in P3D (which is here to stay!!)....any advice would be more than welcome.thanks B42L8
October 23, 201411 yr I have the dual throttle quadrant setup and have no issues, except one throttle that I use for spoilers, and that one I just need to clean the pot. Do you use drivers from saitek? I found all my headaches went away when i deleted their drivers, also I use FSUIPC and turn off all controls in P3D so that FSUIPC is has complete control. I also agree SPAD is the bomb when getting the other panels to behave.
October 23, 201411 yr thanks, I use the FSUIPC as the controller, but still have the P3D settings checked (for the two red buttons on the CH yoke), and then delete all items beyond that, and worked fine in FSX.......I just reloaded the Saiteck drivers but have not had time to see how this works.....not sure what the SPAD is??.............is this a settings program??...................when going thru the Saitek driver test, the quadrants all sorked like a charm, but I think it is a matter of cleaning the equipment but not real sure if that is something I want to tackle.......B42L8
