Something wrong with my 737NGX

Recommended Posts

You may also want to check your speed settings inside the FMC?   I notice that your are flying in VNAV mode so the FMC is following some sort of vertical profile.   Did you set anything up for the flight?

EDIT:  Sorry, see you have speed option set, ignore please!

Kind regards

Are you using external weather programs?
Some will cause abnormally high upper altitude Temperatures which will decrease the aircraft's performance.

+13C at FL410 is by no means a normal temperature.

You may read the Manuals, or fly the tutorials to become aquainted with the NGX's operations.

Are you using external weather programs?

No. I generally use the FSX weather themes or one of the Orbx weather themes.

You are correct - however he is at 4100ft not FL410

You have the Autobrakes set so this may affect your speed.  You only need the Autobrakes on RTO for takeoff and 1,2,3 for landing not during normal flight.  As soon as you have established a positive rate of climb, you can turn the Autobrakes to Off.

I figured out the offending entry in my FSUIPC.

the problem is here

[JoystickCalibration]
AllowSuppressForPFCquad=Yes
ExcludeThrottleSet=No
ExcludeMixtureSet=Yes
ExcludePropPitchSet=Yes
SepRevsJetsOnly=No
ApplyHeloTrim=No
UseAxisControlsForNRZ=No

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Not sure what this does Flaps=0,16380

It looks like it was setting internally some flap values where the aircraft think it has some flaps and so it does not go beyond certain speed. Is there some parameter like that.. I am sure there in the 737 ..Even the though the flap visual does not show there is flaps.

I used bracketing to removed entries  I deleted half the entries in FSUIPC and then figured out which half was giving me grief then put the offending half in and then divided that up further into two sets and eliminated the one half and kept doing this until I found the culprit.

I need to test some more..but I am glad I got this sucker out.

Glad you got it fixed, and very good of you to post the fix, alot of people forget to do that, it can help others later.

I am also happy that you found that Autobrakes has nothing to do with this ;)

Not sure what this does Flaps=0,16380

Flaps=0,16380 means two things:

  1. you have assigned an axis (joystick / hardware throttle or similar) for flap control
  2. only a part of this axis is assigned, as the normal range of this values is about -16380,16380

If you move your flap lever outside the assigned range, FSUIPC does not know how to interprete this and goes nuts. Just try to recalibrate your flap axis within FSUIPC and the prolbem should be gone...

This can cause problems with the spoiler axis as well. I had a spoiler axis left in for the Realair Legacy profile and could not stow the speed brakes with the switch. Almost crashed on final hehe.

d very good of you to post the fix,

Yeah I try to make it a point to do that. Particularly for freaky problems.

So many times I come looking for a thread with a solution for a problem and I would find it...There would be a long conversation where people are trying to help the individual and at the end I see one Post. "Thanks everyone..I got it fixed" and that's one of the most annoying and irritating post ever! Ha Ha! Tell us fella, what finally fixed your issue...so it would help others ..after all so many here tried to help you. The least you could do is, contribute,

Yeah..

I am also happy that you found that Autobrakes has nothing to do with this ;)

LOL :)  Yeah..some folks were having fun at my expense.. Tsk Tsk..  That ok..it helped by keeping my issue relevant.. So they did contribute.   :P
