Considering 3 Monitor Set up Looking for thoughts

Featured Replies

Hello everyone. I would really like to get into a 3 identical monitor set up ( possibly 24"s ) My question is this:

Would it be best for me to take advantage of the multi-monitor outputs on my GTX650TI (1HDMI/2DVI + 1VGA)  or to get one of those

TripleHead2Go products? Advantages & Disadvantages?

Thanks in advance !

As odd as my user name may be, my back always hurts! Scoliosis isn't very fun but those are the cards I was delt.

I have my 3 monitors conected on my gtx690 and no problems here. I would use the that. I am getting 30fps locked on almost all the airports. It works very good.

Greetings,

Guy vankeer

I have three monitors connected to my 680 with no problems. Two via DVI and one via Hdmi using a hdmi to dvi cable.

Make sure your monitors have the same sync polarity because if they dont then nvidia Surround won't work. Use a program called moninfo to check.

I did have some trouble with a hdmi to VGA convertor. Windows was happy to use it to display three monitors but Surround wasn't happy, guess something gets lost in the translation.

Can't speak to triple head but if you already have a three-output card then try that first I guess.

I have an old TripleHead2Go.  Works great.  Makes your computer think it's just one big monitor.  Never tried any other method.

I'm running the GTX 680 with 3 identical monitors.  I get around 30 fps but it does lower at the more complex airports/planes.

No reason for Thg2 with this card , wy Buy something that the card do?

Nvidia controlpanel do evrything better than THG2 and you get no higer fps with it,

With 600 series cards its waste of money to add THG2
