May 9, 201313 yr Ok, ok, ok, ok, ok, I stand corrected!!! Some planes or addons DO require FSUIPC. By coincidence I don't own any of them... ^_^
May 9, 201313 yr Hi all, Interesting thread, and I have to agree with the comments here, I didn't buy FSUIPC for ages until I bought a Saitek yoke, pedals and throttles and couldn't get any of it working with the Saitek software, FSUIPC sorted it all out in a few hours work. Be aware that if you plug and replug USB controllers into different ports, FSX will take them back over and you'll get weird double-mappings. If you're getting wierd button responses, the first place to look is to see if your controller has been re-activated in FSX. If you name each piece of hardware inside FSUIPC in the config page as Yoke=A, Pedals=B etc then you can unplug them and when reattached all your settings are remembered, even if they are plugged into different USB ports, it's so useful but worth reading the manual. Also worth making sure your assignments in FSUIPC are not still assigned in FSX else you will get weird control inputs too. So anything you assign in FSUIPC needs to be unassigned in FSX. Oh the Quality Wings 757 uses the unregistered version of FSUIPC, that's how I first heard about it! Anyway FSUIPC is a godsend and well worth buying if you have more than a simple joystick. Happy Flying, Dave Phillips.
May 9, 201313 yr I also didn't have it for years until I wanted to use it for wideFS (You get a discount on wideFS when you purchase both, FSUIPC & wideFS). Some addons that you can use on a network PC like PFE, RC4, Airhauler etc. I say it is worth the $$$ and I can't sim without it now!...Thanks Pete for this great tool!
