Peter Hager, Owner of Peter's Aircraft is a Genius, I still haven't flown all my other planes since I bought this 380.

Flight Model Plug-In:  The plug-in on the A380 was designed by Torsten Liesk for QPAC (QualityPark Aviation Centre, and their livery is included with the Lufthansa aircraft). The plug-in models the full Airbus FBW (Fly-By -Wire) system with built-in protections (pitch, bank, overspeed and alpha). It is also used as part of the FMS settings to get the best FLEX mode, as mentioned earlier.

In general with the FBW, the A380 is very easy to fly, but you have to follow your flight-plan tightly. On the climb to your assigned flight-level, you need to keep your speed under 280 knots and the (vertical) climb at around 1,400 ft. per minute. At this point, the A388 is a very heavy aircraft and if you push too hard you'll get into all sorts of issues.

The Airbus laws (protections) restrict you from flying the aircraft beyond its limits. Certainly you can have full manual control and input is by the joystick in fine movements. Generally the aircraft will feel slow, but there's a lot of power behind you and the aircraft's weight will cover most light to medium winds, heavy cross winds on landing however are going to be a handful.

Purchasing the Airbus A388 is an investment that will repay you over and over for many years to come. It's such a complete experience (with the VC 3d) that you'll want nothing more. This product repays you with its quality and in its depth. The support from Peter Hager is second to none and the upgrades will follow for many years to come (including 64Bit) There is a huge amount of talent visible in this Aircraft from Peter Hager, Roman Berezin and Torsten Liesk's brilliant FBW systems, and so, if you want a top line professional product it's not going to come cheap.

The Airbus A380 should be on the top of anyone's list as of one of the best products to buy if you are flying in the X-Plane simulator. It's a substantial investment, but also a totally worthwhile one that will repay you year after year with substantial enjoyment. The A388 is just outstanding.

I agree.  I've had it for a while and love it.  I'm surprised I don't hear more about this beauty.

I emailed Peter a few hours ago and he told me that more free updates/patches for the 380 will be released in 2-3 months.

The plane looks great. Don't those clouds though look like something we had in 1999?

Not making fun at all-just stating an observation. I liked the clouds on the initial release of xplane 10 much better.

I wasn't offended by your reply   :friends:

I concur with OP about the Peter Hager A-380 as an investment. Amazing plane to fly ... feels incredible and has systems depth. I love it!

Pro-Pilot, the best desktop flight sim, at the time.......was officially buried in my back yard, complete with headstone. Avsim members and beta testers from both coasts, traveled to this event, back in 1999. Pro-Pilot 2000 just wasn't going to work I've since moved

Now there is a readye market-tombstones for dead flightsims!

Your monster bus is looking very good.

Shameless off topic question: I wonder if I should purchase Peter's new A320 and retire my A320 NEO? I know Peter's bus does not have a VC, but I'm tired of the NEO beta cycles, it's still a can of bugs and not working features.
