TBM850 Released!

Featured Replies

Textures are gorgeous as is expected but unfortunately, the FDE is off which, sad to say, was also expected.

The TBM brochure says 320KTAS at FL260 in ISA conditions. The most I saw was 279kts at FL260 with -35 OAT.

FPS is surprisingly good but unless I'm seeing things, it appears that the displays are not as sharp as those on the SR22 which could explain why the FPS is better.

Hi there,

I also got it now! My concern about the FPS is completely gone, rather on par with the Piper Malibu, maybe 3-5 fps less in demanding scenery.

Did just one half an hour flight, so regarding the FDE I cannot speak much more than allready stated from others ... it seems ok, but also for me, the Cruising Kts seem a bit too less as expected.

But besides that, beautifull aircraft inside and outside, great FPS for a VC having 3 big glass monitors! So I am happy that I dared to purchase it!

Best regards,

the speeds are way off for sure, but if you raise your flaps after takeoff into the "850" detent and then set your torque at around 120%-121% at as close to 2,000rpm as you can get...this will get you slightly better results (perhaps 295 im guessing). BUT, at FL240 I'm still only able to achieve a True airspeed of 290kts...its about 20-23kts too slow at all altitudes ISA.

They got it within about 8% accuracy as far as speeds...but with this particular aircraft that 8% is a huge psychological factor since everyone wants it to go over 300 True.

It needs more horsepower maybe, as the ground roll on takeoff seems a bit too excessive as compared to articles Ive read about how fast the 850 is suppose to get up to rotation speed. I havent measured the takeoff but it just seems a bit slugish getting up to speed at 100% tourque.
