May 16, 201313 yr It's amazing how fast Carenado spits out great product. Makes waiting for the PMDG 777 feel like 5 years! I love Carenado stuff!
May 16, 201313 yr Whoopee! The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA
May 16, 201313 yr Yeah, i got it! so far so good. Looks great, no problems loading, still figuring out g1000 and making way around cockpit. Took off nicely from kjac, feels good!

May 16, 201313 yr I love the plane hate the panel I don't see why they didn't have a steam gauge variant in the package ATP MEL,CFI,CFII,MEI. Type Ratings B-737, ERJ-190,ERJ-170
May 16, 201313 yr z06. Why do you hate the panel? Is it because you prefer steam gauges or is there something wrong with how Carenado executed it?
May 16, 201313 yr z06. Why do you hate the panel? Is it because you prefer steam gauges or is there something wrong with how Carenado executed it? Myself, I prefer steam gauges. A lot of that comes from the way add-on aircraft have evolved for the sim--they started off with steam gauges eons ago. And when I was taking Light Sport lessons, I had a chance to fly an aircraft with a glass cockpit after spending my early lessons in a steam gauge aircraft. I just could not get used to them, and under the bright sun under a bubble canopy, they were hard to see. My eyes have just become conditioned to steam gauges, I guess. In the sim, glass cockpits aren't all bad. They are easy to read since sun glare is not a big issue. Lionheart's Epic has one and surprisingly it's easy on the frame rates, so I know glass cockpits alone can be rendered and work well in the sim. I can't wait to hear the feedback on the 850, whether I buy it or not, it certainly looks nice. Regards, John
May 16, 201313 yr Hello guys, i just finished my first trip in the 850. I have FSX installed on a Laptop (Aspire 7745g with I7, ATI Card and W7) as a general info for you My first leg was from EKHA, Arhus in Denmark to EHGG, Groningen in the Netherlands. Crusing Level was FL260 with a GS of ~263kts. As I fly often with the F1 Mustang I was familiar with the G1000 Cockpit and I start without reading any manual etc. Everything went well on this first leg and the FPS were similar like the one of the Piper Meridian. G1000 system works well. I just hat some minor issues with fuel imbalance at the beginning and with the cabin pressure but I think this was simple user errors and no bugs. So all in all as a quick summery: I like the plane after the first short test flight. Of course we will find some bugs if we look more into the details but what I saw now in the beginning was very promising. Cheers from Germany Mark
May 16, 201313 yr z06. Why do you hate the panel? Is it because you prefer steam gauges or is there something wrong with how Carenado executed it?The reasoning hate it is that its boring its basicly the same panel as the c182 and the sr22. I like glass in an airliner and a little glass in a ga like an aspen but using the same avonics on the last 3 planes has really put me off carenado because even on my system the fps issues destroy the fun of the plane. Will I buy this plane yes because I like the 850 but only if they fixed the issues with the low fps ATP MEL,CFI,CFII,MEI. Type Ratings B-737, ERJ-190,ERJ-170

May 16, 201313 yr Commercial Member I do think that Carenado could make some money by creating a tablet version of their glass panels - if I could shut the gauges off in the sim and have it sitting on a docked touchscreen tablet right above my yoke, I'd be much more liable to buy these glass paneled planes! May 17, 201313 yr Did you program a flight plan in the G1000 or load via the FSX Flight Planner? No I used a imported FP which I create before in the FS Commander
