Annoying Dust or Water coming out of AC in FSX

Featured Replies

So I was flying from Dhaka (VGHS) to Kathmandu (VNKT). When I took off in my Airbus Extended X, it was raining. I get up to cruise, descent, begin my approach, and land. Then I taxi to the gate and shut down the plane (including turning APU and fuel pumps off.)

The problem is, I have this strange water or dust flying out the back of my aircraft. This issue hasn't only happened in the AXE. It has happened in all the PMDG aircraft and the MJC Q400 when I take off from a rainy field and land somewhere else.

Here's a link to the YouTube I took of it:

Anybody else having this issue?

My regards,
Nathan3219

Smoke and water effects.  It's normal.  Yours looks very nice though.  It's like when you spool up the engines and the engines are blowing the water on the ground.

Best regards,

Jim

When I recorded the video, the engines were off and the airfield was dry. The field I took off from was raining, but at Kathmandu it was only overcast and no signs of rain.

Is it still supposed to do this, since I started my engines and took off from an airport that had rain, but landed and shut down at an aiport that was dry?

All I can say is that this is what it is suppose to do with engines rev'd up and rain on the tarmac.  If you had the engines off, no weather, no rain, etc., then something is causing your sim to think this is happening and creating the effect.  I found one link that was similar to your bug and it was determined to be a bug in FSX - http://forum.iemit.com/Default.aspx?g=posts&t=5359.

Jim

Overheat your front breaks? I've seen it before but only after I had brake temp warnings .

I've had this to happen with the Feelthere C208B after a rough or hard landing. Doesn't seem to happen with freeware or stock aircraft.

My computer: ABS Gladiator Gaming PC featuring an Intel 10700F CPU, EVGA CLC-240 AIO cooler (dead fans replaced with Noctua fans), Asus Tuf Gaming B460M Plus motherboard, 16GB DDR4-3000 RAM, 1 TB NVMe SSD, EVGA RTX3070 FTW3 video card, dead EVGA 750 watt power supply replaced with Antec 900 watt PSU.

It could also be the APU. Developers use the APU as another engine so if it is running at the gate with engines off, it will have the same visual effect as the actual engine running and blowing water on the ground.

Addon contrails, maybe?
