Dark Textures on repaints

Recommended Posts

Good evening,

I have a curious problem when downloading certain re-paints for FSX. When I install them, the textures on most of the aircraft are darker then they should be. I have looked at the aircraft files using DXTBMP and they are the correct color, but when they load they look like the picture below. Any Ideas?erj_zps888337e0.jpg

I honestly have no idea what that is.

Nah, none of that. I honestly think it has something to do with it being a FS9 paint loaded in FSX, I see this occasionally and am hoping to find a way to fix it.

Ahh. Sorry I didn't make that more clear.

FT ERJ V2, FSX and they are in .bmp format.

I would assume the FS9 textures do not have a texture.cfg file.

Have you tried copying one from one from the default texture folders to the addon texture folder?

When a plane/repaint shows up correctly in FSX texturewise and only the color is to dark , its most likely the painter made the textures to dark OR your settings are to dark.
BUT if your other planes are correct in brightness its just the painter of your "probem-paints"to blame.

Just contact them.

I think.
