June 14, 201312 yr For ATI cards you need to set Mip Map Detail to High Quality in the Catalyst Control Centre, this should help
June 14, 201312 yr I had the same issue but only in the Menu Bar - tried updating nVidia drivers, reboots, deleting add-ons... only thing that worked for me was a new install. Flows Prevent Collisions - Good Landings Easy
June 14, 201312 yr Garbled menu bars and ATC text means your dll.xml is corrupted. Best regards, Jim Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! June 14, 201312 yr Hi Jim, So the fix? Delete the file and let FSX recreate it? Thanks, Mike Flows Prevent Collisions - Good Landings Easy
June 14, 201312 yr You cannot delete the dll.xml. You can open it with a text editor and look for corruption. If you look at the first few entries in the file, you will see how it is set up and that needs to continue all the way to the end. Here's one excellent guide. Flight1 has a dll.xml viewer and repair utility which I found difficult to use but maybe you can figure it out http://www.flight1.com/view.asp?page=library . June 14, 201312 yr The first time this happened to me, I cured it by deleting the FSX.CFG file and let FSX build a new one. The second time it happened, the first fix didn't work and I traced it to an issue with my default flight, so I created another. I've also heard of this happening with certain videocard settings, so perhaps try defaulting these.
