June 20, 201312 yr Seriously though I have Imaginesim's KDTW (haven't upgraded it to BP as I don't fly there much, not a big fan of depressed Detroit) Well, for those of us who live near "depressed Detroit", the BP version is much closer to reality that Imaginesims greatly outdated version. I Fly into KMSP maybe once a year, but that has nothing to do with the political or economic state of the twin-cities. Regards, Joe Esposito

I Fly into KMSP maybe once a year, but that has nothing to do with the political or economic state of the twin-cities. Please accept my apologies.... I went to visit Motown a few years back and was shocked at the state Detroit was in. For the record I like Imaginesim's mural of a Northwest 744 on a hanger. I guess I've kept it installed for that reason alone. KMSP had the same picture on their hanger before Delta took over and the hanger was torn down. June 20, 201312 yr They don't look the greatest but I like that they seem to factor that fact into their prices. I also like that they do many airports that are important hubs for some airlines but aren't yet commercially represented in FS (mem, msp, iah, etc).

Shez (sunskyjet) is working on a new version of DTW, that I'm sure will be first class, judging by what he and his team did with KPHL. Regards, Joe Esposito
June 21, 201312 yr Blueprint is the only developer to offer a detailed KMSP so being that this was a suggestion made by me many years ago that they took to heart (KMEM included) these guys can do no wrong in my book. Their scenery is satisfactory for the airports they cover especially if their the only developer to do these airports. It's great to hear their continuing their support for FS9 and I look forward to an updated KMSP. Well, the updated KMSP has just appeared but sadly, although one wouldn't necessarily expect a free update, BP don't even offer a price reduction for their customers who bought the previous version, which I think is unreasonable as version 2 is by no means a dramatic improvement. Indeed, having looked at the screenshots from version 2, although there is a degree of improvement in texture quality, autogen quantity, etc, this product is still well below the standard of those produced by FlyTampa, UKXtreme, etc and, although I appreciate their continued support for FS9, the changes introduced in version 2 would not encourage me personally to buy it. When you consider that developers such as FlyTampa and UKXtreme give you superb airports for both FS9 and FSX for a single purchase price, which in most cases is less than the combined purchase price of the FS9 and FSX versions of BP KMSP, then this seems even less attractive. Bill The big elephant in the room is FlyTampa and UKXtreme don't offer KMSP and will flat out refuse to do the airport if you ask them to (heck I'm trying to get them to do Auckland Intl as no one has done that airport to even Blueprint's standards). As far as the update I plan on keeping what I have. I don't care to see a Delta gutted version of KMSP as I can't quite seem to find all the Delta repaints for my NWA WOAI models. My traffic is a hodge podge now thanks to all the mergers. KMSP in it's 2008 form is fine with me. That being said let us know when you get these outstanding scenery developers you mentioned to make every airport BluePrint offers. My home airport looks very nice thanks to BluePrint... Oh I agree with you on that point and I am very grateful that BP have developed many airports (most of which I have purchased over the years) which the other developers have ignored. I was just trying to make the point that this upgrade doesn't seem to warrant the purchase price particularly if you already have their earlier version, although if I just had the stock KMSP then I almost certainly would buy this. June 21, 201312 yr FSXers love to crash the party every chance they get... I'm here to crash the party... In all honesty, I have no issue with Blueprint. It his not by any means high quality, and cannot be compared with the likes of FlightBeam, FSDreamteam, or FlyTampa...but if you want an airport that resembles the real one with stock performance (and a small hit to the pocketbook,) Blueprint is a fine choice. I saw just yesterday that that's available. I'm using the FRF version of KMSP, and since I only fly there once or twice a year at most, I've never considered upgrading to any commercial product. It was a bit disappointing to see that BP's charging for this upgrade. I've known them to do that only once before. Based on comparative screenshots, if I had their old KMSP, I probably wouldn't upgrade at a cost, either. I do continue to hope that they'll develop some completely new airports, however, particularly outside the United States. We'll just have to see if that happens.

I personally enjoy Blueprint Simulations plus its cheap Just in case anyone thinks I was trying to bash Blueprint, that was not my intention!! I appreciate that they produce aiports that other developers ignore and continue to support FS9. As I have said, I have many of their products (I have purchased 13 in total over the years although I have been unable to reinstall some of their older ones such as KIND, KCLE, KSDF and KRDU as Blueprint no longer provide 64-bit compatible installers for these sceneries which they no longer support). BP productions are however a very significant improvement on the stock airports and I do like them but KMSP V2 does not seem to justify IMO the price just to upgrade from V1! Bill
