Bought this just now on PCAviators current sale for $30.

That's a bargain and worth every penny IMO.

Since this is the question thread,

the installer is asking me to install FS2Crew RAAS Pro AirbusX, what will I be missing if I DON'T install this?

In a nutshell: You'll miss the Runway Alert and Advisory System (which actually is a "standalone" addon by FS2Crew) in a customized version. For exact details see here. It's not at all an essential piece of software, but since it's included I have no idea why one shouldn't install it.

Only reason I'm leery is because I'm trying to be careful of what gets installed as to not mess up my system and FSX setup.

Good point, but I haven't had an issue with it so far, that's probably why that didn't come to my mind.

2. Is there any addon to generate flight plans like FlightSim Commander?

PFPX exports AXE flight plans.

I didn't install it. Felt like it was unnecessary and didn't want more bloat running in the background. I'm sure it's cool though.

RAAS and FSX seem to be fine so far.

The female copilot that reads the checklist to you, is there any way to make her voice louder? I can hear the pilot nice and loud but she I can poorly hear.

I'm having the same issue and I didn't have it before. I figured it was a problem on my end.

Can't her the cabin calls either.

Hi,

I would like to take advantage of the present PCA sale on the AXE (#$30) but would my computer be able to give me a reasonable frame rate? What I call a reasonable rate is 12-20 fps at KLAX as starting point. I do use the LVL 767 and am happy with frames, which are not a slide show. I do use DX10 and most sliders are at least half way.

Any thoughts are appreciated other than buying a new computer,

Thanks,

Carl

So far I have found the AXE very easy on frames, better than Captain Sim stuff I have. I think you should be able to find a decent framer rate balance on your system.

You'll be fine - I got 20 FPS locked on my old rig (intel core 2 duo 2.3GHz and a 256MB video card!)

Thanks guys, that is very encouraging.  Always like to take advantage of a good sale. Bumpy, I have  captain sim 737, 727, and 707 so I will check them out again to make sure what I may expect on the airbus.
