Strange problem shutting FSX down

Recommended Posts

After every session of FSX I shut down using either "Exit Program" key or the "X" on upper right. The sim appears to close normally but 15-20 seconds later the "Flight Simulator has stopped working" box appears. I then have to press the "close the program".

This occurs after every session since I did a complete reinstall of FSX. I haven't reinstalled but a few payware items (scenery, airplanes, FSUIPC, EZDOK, FSINN).

. None of the threads I found on Google Search fit this situation.

Any help appreciated.

It's probably FSInn. You can try going into the config and disabling the radio component.

Turn off Sky Blue Radio Tuner:

(Addons -> FSCopilot -> Settings -> Tuner -> [click to toggle] Enabled/Disabled)

Also, you might see a details button that can tell you what module is causing the crash.

Same here.
I just got used to the "new" way of shutting it down. haha

Edit: I use squawkbox and I always run it externally and shut it off first, so FSInn is not an issue for me.

If you really mind this little annoyance, temporarily remove the items in your modules folder and deactivate all scenery add-ons in the FSX options menu.

Then bring them back one by one.
