Moving Map

Featured Replies

Is there any kind of fsx add on that presents a moving map in flight, without pausing and going into a menu?

Perhaps just something you can call up with a key command, almost like a cockpit gauge kind of thing?

Thanks

Have a look at Simtouch Plus 2 which has a map component with a choice between a street map and a satellite photo over which the airplane symbol moves.

Aivlasoft EFB is what you need and much more. Free one month trial. It offers a flight planner, updated maps from ground to enroute and the moving map you want. If you Google the name you will find their site.

Thanks Ernie!

Do you have a second computer or laptop available?

I use the free Plan-G V2.5 (don't like 3.x much) running on my laptop connect via SimConnect and it works great as a moving map.

Just an idear.

+1. Don't leave home without it. Just buy a cheap monitor or laptop and use the second screen as the moving map. Or if you have an ipad, you can use the Air Display app to use it as your computer's second screen.
